 WTA GPU Gigbyte SOC gtx 680 faulty?

its a normal day after playing games go fb-ing and suddenly the screen when black and the GPU fan turn loud. tried to restart but nothing happen the screen still black and GPU fan is very loud. i can hear the window entering sound when restart. tried to remount all hardware but still the same. when i giveup alrdy i saw the LED on the GPU backplate is NOT lighting up, all gigabyte gpu have the led on the back right? its even light up when the pc is shut down. so need sent RMA?

pc is not OCing when this happens. running stock speed

3570k
maximus v gene (no onboard display port dats why im here)
vengence 4x2gb
force gs 120gb
tx 650m

regular temp
cpu 70-75
gpu 65-70

those idle temps are crazy hot for a desktop

they should be way below 50c

that temp is max setting in games. gpu idle is 41. cpu idle is around 50

halp anyone?

plug the GPU on another desktop and if the same thing happens, it's time for RMA

amirules99 Change the GPU bios switch and restart. Check the PSU also. Other than that, bring it to the shop for RMA.

it seems the 680 goes black (stopped functioning) and you restart ur pc


so your 680 no longer "detectable" after that? even tried reseat the 680 also same?

to make sure if it's ur 680 dead

try install ur 680 on other PCIE 16x slot, see if it works

if it doesnt work, 680 is dead , sent it to rma,

if works on other pcie 16x slot just fine, it could be ur that pcie slot got problem
