I just called AZ to book an appointment for servicing on Saturday. A lady picked up and ask me just to walk in because they don't do booking. blink.gif

True? I don't want to go all the way there and they send me back cause I have no appointment.

Shouldnt be any problem if you go early.... be there by 8.30am if you want to be among the first.

I did my first 2 services there...no such problems....

Thanks. smile.gif Since they open at 9, I will probably be there before 8.30.

Go to kinrara branch faster, my first & second & third at AZ, damm slow due to too many customer.....more than 2 hours.

So in fourth time I go to Kinrara, around 1.5hours to settle all the things. Somemore i found that AZ more expensive than other, due to add in engine cleaning oil and etc.

I second that. Even I come early, normal service almost about 2hours. It will be more time consumes if you claim for Balancing & Alignment as they will sent to another shop. But for extra oil treatment for engine & gearbox, the girls asked me permission to add extra oil treament. You can refuse it during the girls register your car for service at the reception table.

I am going for my first service. Bought the car from AZ so the first 3 service only needing to pay RM 170+ instead of RM 230+ if I do elsewhere.

Alignment seems fine (only after I corrected the tyre pressure when I got the car) but there are noises coming out already from the driver's door panel since DAY 2 of getting the car. vmad.gif mad.gif

guys, just asking, i read the HU user manual, it stated "as soon as the car is in its reverse gear, regardless of which inter face the system is displaying, the monitor will swith the display to the reverse camera channel automatically.".... but when i was reversing, only my rear view mirror got the reverse cam view...my HU monitor dont have...

Is it same case to you guys? normal? or someone forgot to connect the reverse cam with my car's monitor?
*
It's normal. The reverse camera is not connected to the HU.

regarding tinted, which brand is better? 3M, Huper, Vkool o solargard?

4. Thinking of whether or not to get tinting done.  SA seems to be able to promise me some form of tinting (cheapo one i believe  hmm.gif But before that, do I really need to get tinting done?  Car will be under the hot, blazing sun most of the time during the day.  How efficient is the stock solar glass on the forte?  Are all windshields & windows solar glass? Any quoted figure for the VLT/IRR/TSER?  Obviously when tinting is done, front windshield will most likely fail JPJ inspections  cry.gif ..so do I need to risk it?  I don't like the windows being too dark btw..as if I'm doing something dodgy in the car  brows.gif

Don't bother with the 3M promo. It is just a mid range tint. Tint is probably worth max a couple of hundred ringgit for other brands.

Front Ceramic 75
IRR 44%
TSER 40%

Side Nano 70S
IRR 97%
TSER 50%

I just tinted my Forte with Ecotint for 1650. Been using them since early 2000 and this is my 4th car tinted with Ecotint. No regrets.

Front Ray Barrier
IRR 95%
TSER 60%

Side 4mm Hybrid Security
IRR 90%
TSER 56%

You should look at TSER ratings instead of the IRR readings. TSER is more accurate and the one that measure the amount of heat that able to pass though the tint from the sun. If you have the money, go for Raybarrier whole car. RB whole car +4 mm security costs around 2K.

Took you guys how many kms to achieve consistent fuel reading? Mine before first service is giving me RM 83 for 370 KM. City drive but did not get stuck in jam much. icon_question.gif

I realise that at around 100-110 km/h I can hear like whizzing airplane sound coming from the engine area. Above or below that speed, there is no sound. Mileage is below 1K. Normal? Or something is wrong?
