Hi, do anybody know how to fix the door panel ratting sound while driving on bumpy road? I found out that if I pull half of the window down, the ratting sound is gone. Had sent to SC to check, they just left my car under the sun for 2 days, and said it is common problem for Forte.

Left front door? Mine also like that. Sent it to sound proofing shop. Went quiet for about a month until got passenger sit in my car, then the sound came back. I assume is because passenger slam my door and something got loose again >.<

Has anyone here installed the 3M rubber strips for soundproofing? I'm curious as to whether it works to reduce wind noise and tire roar, and also as to where its installed.
*
I installed. Doesn't reduce wind or tyre roar at all. But does reduce those sound where lorry or bikes passing by.. But not a lot also. Not worth putting IMHO smile.gif

Hi, would like to ask about the service schedule, my next service is 5000km or Oct 2013, is that means I must service my car on Oct 2013? or reached 5000km only need to service?

I wonder why SA put a date on it
*
whichever comes first smile.gif How come 5000km? semi synthetic oil? Usually is 1,000km, then 10,000km ma

IMHO, I'm kinda skeptical about coating that lasts forever (unless your "forever" means long enough for you to think its forever tongue.gif ). IMO, coating on your car is just like a putting screen protector on your phone. Better quality ones are more scratch proof and more durable to weather - lasts longer.

Unlike polishing and waxing, coating supposed to last longer because its supposed to bind well with the paint. When it binds well, means we do not have to re-do it so often. Take note that every time you want to wax or coat, we will still have to polish the car in which will obviously remove a thin layer of paint.

I used coating to ensure that my car looks brand new (or almost brand new) at all times because washing off dirt, bird poo stains, tree sap and etc would be much easier for longer periods of time (or at least I feel so tongue.gif )

Do correct me if I understand "coating" wrongly icon_question.gif

Parents don't kinda agree that I buy myself a Forte 2.0. = =

They said the car will depreciate like crazy and if I were to sell it, no one will buy it. Even if they do, the price will be extremely low..

Any advice?
*
Ask yourself, how long are you going to drive the car? wink.gif if 3 years? Maybe yes, depreciate too fast. 8 years? wouldn't make much difference right?

Actually stock rims really heavy rims and the materials can tahan force better than aftermarket rims... thumbup.gif

I beg to differ here icon_question.gif I dented my original rims in the 3rd day of driving my car doh.gif repaired it then changed my rims to lenso es6 4 months later, and at that time of change, found out another rim also dented.

My es6 now after 1 year of use, multiple times hit pothole, still in very good condition wub.gif

200% will but FIRST your car MUST NOT have bodykit as the side skirt will be blocking the mudflap
*
The other day I was at a treasure hunt from KL to Lumut using coastal roads, saw this forte with bodykit having mudflaps looking like rally car mudflaps... Didn't have time to survey the car coz was rushing for time tongue.gif And to top it up, the car had a huge intercooler OUTSIDE of the front bumper.. blink.gif
