Sifu-sifu sekalian, was wondering...considering that our car's stock rim specs are 7j/ pcd 5x114.3...Would "7.5j" rims fit without causing any problems? Been eyeing some rims but the ones i fancy are all 7.5j

QUOTE(sathyendran @ Aug 7 2013, 10:55 AM) 7.5 is ok...im on 7.5 +42 offset... 8-9 will hit the fender with heavy load because your tire will be jetting out slightly of of your body. Lenso Spec E should be ok. Max u can go is 8 but not advisable if you are gonna use it as a family car. QUOTE(craxors @ Aug 7 2013, 10:57 AM) Thanks for the headsup, now i can go release stress by wasting my hard earn cash lol |

QUOTE(sathyendran @ Aug 7 2013, 11:15 AM) Looks good how much? Will suit white or grey forte... but make sure its not tooo dark or else it will look bad, just my opinion... Roughly around RM1750, haven't seen it in person so I'm not sure whether it's too dark lol..but meh..i'm fine with it being dark lol... the darker it is the better haha...the offset is +45 so i guess there shouldn't be a problem. |

Hmm... better ask them fit with your tyre and put in the car 1st... 7.5j not jj lol... yeah that's what i was concerned about hence the reason i'm asking for opinions from the sifus here lol... 7.5j with an offset of +45see if there is any rubbing on your absorbers or not. QUOTE(sathyendran @ Aug 7 2013, 11:21 AM) yeah i saw one forte fitted with it but looks smaller than the actual size.... even with 7.5j?Less maintanence huh +45 will fit in fine.... Lenso Samurai rims are not bad but i dun prefer the red colour in the middle... Nah,the samurai isn't my cup of tea lol...something about it just ticks me off for some reason lol |

For those who had the Orsen Skid plate installed, is there any fitting issues with it? i remember someone mentioned there were some minor compatibility issues with it due to the design of the plate in the previous thread.

QUOTE(lingleeyen @ Oct 9 2013, 11:35 AM) Yup, the skid is not a good fit to the bottom of the car. There is gap between the skid and the chasis. Therefore the car will be affected by cross wind, and the sound is loud. Very loud. Thanks, was planning to install it this week, oh well, more money for UR bars then. |

QUOTE(lingleeyen @ Oct 9 2013, 11:43 AM) Back at my hometown Ipoh considering i'm going back for the holidays this weekend. Saw the skid plates at the workshop while i was there installing the potent booster a few weeks ago and the worker kinda recommended me getting one installed. Was pretty much decided on installing it then i remember someone mentioned the compatibility issues. |

QUOTE(lingleeyen @ Oct 9 2013, 12:34 PM) Potent booster is good stuff huh. Got used to the acceleration level already? Haha. Haha, worth every penny i invested on it, just wished it was a bit more navigation friendly but other than that, i'm a very happy man I am not sure what will happen if the skid is not there. Rocks might hit up and stuck in somewhere. I installed it last time hoping that it will protect whatever in the engine bay, but mana tau the skid helped me decreased noise. I am not sure what will happen if you install on stock car, because prior to the skid, I already have full boot sound proof. The noise goes to the front and I can hear the loud wind howling in the engine bay. After the skid, the howling no more. I am happy that I put this on. Please see the below is how I installed mine. No more cross wind effect, no more loud noise. Actual installation:- [attachmentid=3667083] My installation:- [attachmentid=3667086] Take away the nut 1, add in rubber gasket or Big D rubber along the skid edge and chasis to make contact. Take 4 meter of Big D and it is enough. I think ill just hold off getting the skid plate for now n get the UR bars first... Seems like a lot of hassle just to get a supposed readily-fit plate onto the car lol... |

QUOTE(lingleeyen @ Oct 9 2013, 01:09 PM) What I have experienced is the same with PB. To set from HA (sport mode) to FA (racing mode) you need to press like 4 times with the acceleration pedal lify up. But from HA to normal (off mode) is only once. I was hoping the both is interchanged. Lol..what a coincidence, i'm actually planning to install that 3 bars... personally test-drove a friend's Forte with that exact 3 bars installed and i like what i saw. Gonna have to get a price quotation for the bars this week.I have had reviews on UR bars (tower bar, lower rear arm bar, anti roll bar). Find and read read if you are interested. The skid for other car looks OK. No such problem. Just in case any one wanted to install, adding rubber will be a good cheap solution. The installer installed the rubebr for me when I go back there the third time to rectify. 1st time to install the actual way, second time to take out the nut no 1, third time to add in rubber. So hopefully this will save time for whoever who wants to do this. I'd probably wouldn't bat an eyelid if the plate didn't cost that much but for that amount of money and for that amount of hassle just to get it fit? No thank you lol... |

QUOTE(lingleeyen @ Oct 9 2013, 01:20 PM) I am actually wanting to try the front lower arm bar too. But after installation, the car's clearance to floor is acually decreased. In case it hits anything, it will hurt your chasis. The shop I went actually not recommending this front lower arm bar, because he has seen a vios with adistorted chasis due to this front lower arm bar. I still have tinting and sport rims to go before i say enough is enough lol...So I should stop. No more additional items in the car. I stopped and found out that I am a richer man. |

QUOTE(lingleeyen @ Oct 9 2013, 01:49 PM) What not following my footstep? You had almost everything I have already ma But i don't want that long list of yours lol...So how is that Firestorm doing? I am still thinking of whether to get one. Any effect on the plugs? And what would be your review? For the firestorm and the spark plugs, there's definitely some slight improvement when it comes to acceleration, you could say it feels much lighter and smoother now. Didn't see any difference when it comes to FC though. TBH, i saw a lot more improvement when i got the VS and GC installed compared to the spark plugs and firestorm. |
