This is the packaging of the foam. I bought 2 packs. Made it 3 layers. I did not measure, I hand cut the whole length of he dashboard and slit it in. However, if you are cutting the length, make sure you add 12 to 15 cm longer. When you force in the foam, the foam is no longer straight in line with the dashboard length. Some might go inner some might cramped in one spot. Hence you need extra length to compensate. Effect is good. Try with 4 layers in a small portion. See if the 4 layers can fit in. If yes, 4 layers all the way.

I don't know man. For the touch screen HU, I poke in a 4G pendrive, try to put all the songs into the play list, the HU hang before it can even list down those songs. Now I transfer all those songs to SD card. No problem after that.

Current touch screen comes with micro SD embeded. So I load all songs into SD by category. Then play songs through there after putting them into the playlist. The processor or the ram for the current HU is too slow. Hence sometimes when it overloads, it hangs.

I'm using 8GB SanDisk mini thumb drive.
About 3.19GB worth of songs (711 files, 61 folders), formatted to FAT32.

Folder structure = 3 Layer Structure = Main Folders -> Sub-Folders 1 -> Sub Folders 2 (E.g. - E:\ROCK\Coldplay\Coldplay Glastonbury 2011\Coldplay - Fix You.mp3

I believe that as long as you keep the subfolders sizes to a maximum of 4GB, the HU shouldn't have any problem reading it

Silent as in engine silent yes. Wind noise will be very loud with stock car. Yours is a 1.6 right? The RPM is so much difference? Mine is running at abit above 4k at 200km/h.

Just edit any picture to 800x480 and save as logo.bmp and put in thrle root folder of the sd card and restart the HU
