for comfort tyre that i know, Toyo C1S, Conti MC5, GD EfficientGrip, Mich 3ST, Yoko Advan db v551 and GY Asy2 & Yoko CDrive2 should be rounder tyre. Yoko Advan db should be best quiet tyre (before 3ST and Efficientgrip been launched) and Asy2 should be top all rounder tyre
all these i read review online and never try before lar....
i think bro ling's experiences is good enough for you 
anyway, i read some reviews saying that both C1S and MC5 no good in wet and cornering and noisy after some millage (around 8k)

So it will still hit fender. Alright. I then will not consider to add to the profile height.

I'm the owner 215/50/17...after put cushion buffer, the hits become less or I can say its gone for my car..but if you turn too much left or right for the front wheel, it will hit inner fender.
My future plans is to buy 205/50/17 profile tyre after my current tyre broken/harden/thread reduced.
This not applicable if your rim 'terkeluar' from your car body    (I means the offset)

am i thinking to trade my forte EX for a high end myVi. is it a viable choice?

i have asked few tyre shop at pandan indah and they quoted RM70 - RM90 to repair the dent for each rim... and the job will takes minimum of 4 hours. if want to change the color like matte black need 2 - 3 days to complete but no spare rims provided really tempted to just get a new sport rims, just worry about warranty of absorbers etc

ok2 thanks for the advice sifu. maybe the repaired rims became weaker after they bakar and ketuk? since yours have already changed to 18", is is true the myth says warranty void? need help/ confirmation from sifus here.
