Hi,

I would like to know the best way to webcam with PC MSN user. Currently using Mercury and it seems not stable and messy. I hope to find something like Adium or any others you guys feel is recommendable. Thank you.

I have just did a test for webcam on messenging. I m using usb webcam, v-gear talkcam messenger pro which is supported by mac with a driver supplied. It works with ichat but need to install ichatusbcam. I know mercury support webcam, but not with the webcam I m using. Then I tried amsn, this one works flawlessly. My usb webcam is alive! But, amsn is abit laggy for intel-based mac.

I tried with Logitech Quickcam Zoom on yahoo and aMSN, but I can tell you it's hell of an effort to (1)get it working with these softwares, and (2) tweak the color balance that's by default dark green for some reason...

So I personally don't recommend using 3rd party webcam on mac, iSight is still the way to go - get the latest macs tongue.gif

I'm dreaming...

To compare iSight's superb quality with ordinary webcams (some mediocre ones actually cost 200+), its price tag is definitely worth while... Just give it a try in Apple Centres and you'll see what I mean...

How far away from the release of MacBook? Seen it somewhere stating that if it's within 2 weeks you could always ask for a change to the new one or something...
