but pegasus with the other brands... i will look for something better on the same price range...

btw... which model of the component are we talking bout? evry brand has their high end, mid-range and low end stuff which the quality and material used are not the same which affect to the sound reproduction...

im using pegasus 6.5"comp set,amp and its 10"subwoofer.I can say its perform better than many brand that in same price range.
Its ever won overall champion in Singapore IASCA competition last year.
Im very satisfy for its performace.
Just compare it's sound taste with caliber,you will realise im telling you the truth or false.

Currently the market price for PG162(6.5" comp set top model) is below rm600 (including installation costs),4" comp set around rm250-350.
Actually all the pegasus brand products selling in malaysia is discontinue model in foreign country.therefore is selling in cheap price now.The're new model will import to malaysia soon but will sell at very expensive price that known as high-end brand.
So,it is worth to buy a good performance product with very low price just only because it is old model.For me it is better than choose a new product which same price but worst in performance.

p/s: the Spore IASCA competition they're using front 3 way prototype which is not available in the market currently..not the wat 162P<--forgot the model number

i beg to differ.. i got 2 friends, 1 with full set pegasus on kenari n 1 with wira aeroback
on the wira aeroback, all the comp set is those chapalang set eg what acoustic la what bose la.. dunno la but he told me all chapalang.. however, the sound quality is on par or should i say better than pegasus?
i open this thread to see if it is worthy to change all set to pegasus but my friend insisted since the accs men said damn good -.-

hehe... a brand winning in IASCA la EMMA la AMMA la or whatever international or local WILL NOT gurantee tht it will be a good stuff... its all down to your tuning, instalation, equipment matching, and most importantly the HU used...

here in my place, pegasus is a very well known and very widely used by many high end icers here... i think got 5 cars in the last autoshow tht carry their product line... in the end... none of them win not even second place... lost to 2 audiobahn show car...

now you tell me how you measure a brand by competition?

also... i am a long time user of bmboschmann... cheap brand isnt it? but i think they are way way better than pegasus on SQ... SPL i dunno cuz never played SPL before...

Original MB Quart is imported by Autocraft Electronic ...so got Autocraft sticker on back of speaker

In market have a lot of fake MB Quart, Rockford Foasgate, MTX ...
If you see any 1/2 or 1/3 price of this brand..better dun buy..

ori or fake nvm one la... as long as they can out perform pegasus at the same price why not consider it? still bang for bucks wa...

a fake 1 with <50% cost can have a >50% performance is good to me. not sure bout others. maybe those are really golden ears?

btw, a good comp set need a good amp. 1k comp set most probably need a good 2k 4ch amp to run active. dun forget the e-xover, cables, wiring and tunings.

had too many customer use a chapalang so called 100Wx4 rms amp which cost <400 and ask me to install with a 1k comp set..wtf? make both consistent is the way..this is how u utilise ur money....

See what type on music u listen leh... Bass, Vocal, classical....
Amp also have many type ... USA amp suitable for R&B & Boom Boom Song (more on bass).
Europe amp suitable for SQ ...because Europe people listen classical song & Vocal(more on SQ).

You need quite a fair bit of power to harness the midbass from the a/d/s/ 236is. The power rating is 150w RMS. It's all about matching a proper amp to drive the components.

JL 500/2 (second hand) 150w x 2 @ 4 ohms.
