Did local prices drop after the US unit prices were recently slashed?

Itching to get a local unit, but I'd rather not buy one then find out a few days/weeks later that prices are reduced to follow the US reduction

Just got my Nexus 4 today, after scouting around a bit. Best prices I've seen for new 16GB sets:

AP set price: 990 (example Dark Devon is ordering from US, you can check out Garage sales)
Local set: 1150 (example DirectD)

I ended up getting a local set, simply because I wanted to be able to check the phone for defects when buying, and any warranty claims from LG will be simpler. DirectD really has good business, packed at 11am!!

Anyone get their Nexus 4 screen protector at Low Yat Plaza? I got a cheap one today (RM15), but i can already see it's coming off at the edges. Using a Ballistic Shell SG case, so I only need a (dry) protector for the screen. Recommendations please!
