LOL! It's ironical because I've often heard Sabah locals complain that West Malaysians always won jackpots, and that the games were rigged in their favor. However since a huge jackpot (forgot how much) was won by a guy living in Beverly Hills apartments, KK, I've heard that less and less. Now that this Rm43.6 mil pot was won by someone in Sandakan, I think I'll not hear that anymore. I think the biggest winner is the state govt, which sucks up a 15% tax on all lottery tickets.

OK...let's see if the hypothesis that all jackpots above RM20mil are won by an East Malaysian. The 6/55 jackpot is over RM25mil now....lets see who wins it.

The problem is you heard. since many many year how many more than 20million jackpot has won by EAST? have you seen ur own eye they really use the money? Or toto just want to transfer the money for other usage. We wont know it. But if u have brain to twist and think they u will know it.

biggrin.gif Try thinking about this: IF the Toto draws are rigged, why do they have to make the winner come from Sabah or Sarawak? Toto tickets are sold nationwide. An East Malaysian can buy a ticket in West Malaysia and vice-versa.
Winnings can be moved to any state in Malaysia easily. I can't see any purpose or advantage to rig the winning ticket to have been sold in East Malaysia. Can you?

I'll simply apply the paradigm of Ockham's razor to this issue. The simplest reason is the answer: more winning tickets have been sold in East Malaysia, that's all.

sure they bought it at sabah sarawak la. For my thinking should be because they let the winner from sabah or sarawak so the people in semenanjung hardly to control. A good example king of songlap Taib USD21 billion in sarawak, see who can touch him?
Most important make sure sabah sarawak forever fixed deposit for Bee ENd

Bro in all honesty, I've also been told the same things that you said by a few Sandakan friends. It made for a fun debate!

There is one more factor that is a possibility: East Malaysia is a more boring place with less roads, and less things to see and do than in West Malaysia. Apart from enjoying nature, there's drinking, eating, karaoke and GAMBLING to occupy one's free time. It would be interesting to know how much of Toto sales come from Sabah and Sarawak. Unfortunately I don't have that data. More sets of numbers bought = higher chances of winning. Anyone who has such data, please chime in.

But you seem to think that there is a "control" issue specific to East Malaysia because of Taib. I beg to differ. There is a control issue in the whole of Malaysia! Could anyone control Mamakhathir during his reign as PM? But does this "control" or lack thereof really extend to manipulation of games of chance? Bro...if you really have proof, I'd encourage you to report it to the proper authorities, and forward a copy to all the media. It would benefit all of us punters. Unfortunately, simple numerical instances of where the winning tickets are sold does not constitute proof and is merely in the realm of conjecture.

enough la bro. Look at altantuya la. If you have a decent brain and not ignorant brain like that mamak, you able to know who is the real culprit and does the real culprit behind bar now? somemore ask me to report
Taib USD21Bilion whole world know it but who dare to touch him? Bee End needs him so badly to control sarawak doh.gif

SO if you have no solid proof, and don't/cannot make a report, what are you gonna do? Gonna stop buying Toto?

hehe..bro its aint easy to keep sabah n sarawak belong to Bee End nowadays. Not like last time adi. PR is getting stronger. So they need more money. and Rakyat will bantu Bee End indirectly by buying more whatever mega or super. LOL.
Erm, if really write the name liao and IC, really must that person only can use it? I cannot say write wrong ah? hehe because cctv can show u buy it

Aaah you MAY have a point there, but I doubt there's any risk this way. The CCTV may show me buying a ticket...but I believe the resolution of the video is not high enough to make out the numbers and the bar coding on the ticket. However the punter is also protected by e-mail correspondance+photo of ticket or PM records of the request for me to buy the numbers as well as transaction record of bank transfer in addition to his IC name written on the back of the ticket.

I did think of offering to Poslaju the tickets back to the buyer (if shipping is paid for), but we don't wanna make some lucky mailman rich if the envelope gets "lost", right? biggrin.gif Safer for me to just keep them lah.

This reminds me of the time I landed in Zamboanga in 2000...was walking from the port to my hotel when I decided to buy 5 lucky picks for the 6/49 Lotto game. The jackpot was PHP44,500,000...roughly RM4.5millions. One set of my numbers kena 5 numbers drawn....the 6th number drawn was 42....my 6th number in the lucky pick was 41! Basketballs lah! That was the closest I ever came to striking any jackpot.

Edited to correct a numerical figure.
