QUOTE(andyfriends @ Mar 20 2007, 08:45 PM) i m planning to get a maltese, i have few Q to ask In terms of food, if you only own one maltese, it wouldnt cost you much even if you provide the best food. But if you were to show the maltese, or if you want your maltese to have long, smooth, white hair, then you might need to set aside some money for groomings. 1...how to train the maltese pup to shit in the toilet? 2... is it impossible for them to shit if my hse toilet is those modern wan?means having toilet bowl we just sit on it, if we may carry them to sit on the bowl, will they fall into the hole? Well, i believe it is not possible to train the dog to poo or pee exactly into the toilet bowl. What you can do is either train the dog to do the business on the floor of the toilet, or train the dog to do business on newspaper or pad. For maltese, since they have white hair, i find it best to train them to pee on pad, cause the pad will absorb the pee so the maltese wont steps all over & make their hair dirty/yellowish. 3... is it hard to take k of theirfur? as i scared they may become yellow-ish.. Most maltese will have tear stain problem, as well as to keep the fur from turning yellowish is not easy since they have white hairs. When we sell our maltese, we will share all the knowledge we know with the buyer how to take good care of the maltese. But of corse, even if you have learnt from us, you need time & consistence effort in order to get the "perfect" maltese you see in books & dog shows. Their dogs wont appear "pure white", "nice long coat", "obedient" overnight. If you seen a very nice maltese, then the owner must have done a very good job. 4..how small was it when u guys 1st bought him..6 weeks old? or smaller? Normally, we sell our maltese after 2 months old. 5...how much u guys bought him? 6..is it exp to rear them? i mean in terms of foods and etc?how much u spend / month? haha got lots of q to ask as i really keen to get 1 Most importantly, you must always be financially prepared if the dog get sick. QUOTE(Digitral @ Mar 20 2007, 09:05 PM) hahah yeah i can see you and ur gf just plan to own Maltese in this future only . HAHA, where u saw this dog? cool!well , white palace , today i saw something , a min schnanuzer like a unicorn . show ya pic here : Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(andyfriends @ Mar 21 2007, 10:19 PM) finally some1 reply my msg thx white palace there are some Q need to clarify 1) what is pad? how does it look like? mind send me a pic? Click on the "wee wee pad" link on my signature, you will be able to see the photos & explainations. 2) do u shower ur maltese everyday? can i shower him at night? cz i oni free at night? Nope, once a week shower, you shouldnt bath everyday. 3) do u use a cage to lock him? so that at night when he zzz he wont simply zzz here n there? Best is you train the puppy to do business out of the sleeping area, they do not like to dirty their sleeping area. I do confine my maltese puppy or limit them to an area until they understand where they should pee or poo. After that all of them can roam freely at my house. 4) if grass n pad u prefer to let him pee at grass or pad? if grass wil the dog poo pr pee hurt the grass? as i heard fren said dog's poo n pee are asid in nature.. Definitely not grass for maltese, cause they have long white hair, and they are supposed to be indoor dog, you will face more headache if you need to let them out everytime they want to do the business, then clean them up everytime they are finish. sory really curious got so many question to ask QUOTE(Digitral @ Mar 21 2007, 10:30 PM) hahahha , look like punk right ?the min . schnanuzer hehehe....but too bad no mka need rm 1880 . i saw the unicorn min . schnanuzer at summer pet shop ='D Yah, it is a punk! But kind of pricey though... Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(joanalooidog @ Mar 22 2007, 11:25 AM) Born last Saturday, means 5 days old. QUOTE(Digitral @ Mar 22 2007, 12:46 PM) Yap. QUOTE(andyfriends @ Mar 22 2007, 04:41 PM) is that ur new puppy? Yes, it is. how many are they? 1 & only. when was it delivered? 17th March 2007 how much u want to sell them? Not For Sale Added on March 22, 2007, 4:50 pmWP. thx for the infor, as for the wee wee pad, 1) how many pieces do i atleast have to use in order to train them to pee in 1 place? If you decide to train it on the pad, then you have to continue use it so the pup wont get confused. I change the pad after 3-5 times my dogs pee on it. 2) where u normally train ur maltese to poo and pee? in the toilet? ur toilet is those modern or traditional type? On the pad. 3) if bathe them one a week will they become very smelly? as they pee and poo eday Nope, i have many maltese at home & they dont smell, just maintain the cleanliness & not to forget to brush their hair everyday. 4) do u bring ur maltese for jogging or just play with them in door? My maltese will have enough exercise playing & roaming around my house, but we will bring them out almost everyday in the car & go for gathering once a while. Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(Digitral @ Mar 23 2007, 01:00 AM) ops sorry type wrong ya is 17th march 2007 right . Yap, so got fate ma. hahaha my gf born 17 th march 1987 too . hahaha , really allow my gf to be ur new '' pisces '' maltese as a god mother ar >< so far , u still consider what name should give to ur new born maltese ? Hmm so far what i knkow ur maltese name is Angel , tiffany , gloria . the rest i dunno ler . hahaha ur tiffany look so happy with the BB ler ! thanks for sharing those picture !!! i love to see those picture My maltese names: Tiffany, MuLan, Angel, Emporers, Fortune, Gloria, & "new BB". QUOTE(joanalooidog @ Mar 23 2007, 08:52 AM) born one only ah?? i thought normal dogs will born like around.....5?? Yap, 1 & only, coz mine is not "normal dogs" loh, mine is "special" Wat u mean like a bit "yucky" after gave brith?? After gave birth cannot bath her?? No lar, maltese are toy breeds ma, so normally give birth a few BBs only, unless you have "large breed" maltese, more than 5 oso no problem. Yap, after give birth like human, we try not to bath the mommy for a week, just wipe the body. QUOTE(babymiki @ Mar 23 2007, 08:58 AM) Erm, wuts u mean?Added on March 23, 2007, 9:42 am QUOTE(andyfriends @ Mar 23 2007, 09:27 AM) the mummy looks so happy haha For the 1st week, the mother will be protective to the BBs, so the mommy will stay with us at our room, sometimes we will let in 1 or 2 maltese which are "softy" in nature to join us in the room when we are inside.so wat about other maltese? wil they bully the baby maltese? or u hv kept them in a diff place? haha i m sure as a breeder u are very happy to see ur dog has a new baby hmm kinda wasted cz u din take down d whole process of giving birth it wud be very nice if can see d process from pregnancy till gave birth Well during the delivering process, we are too concern about the mommy, so as long as the delivery process is smooth, it is much more happier than taking down the process, anyway we already record it in our mind. QUOTE(andyfriends @ Mar 23 2007, 10:37 AM) can i assume that now the small BB is very lasy cz juz born and not active jz keep zzz? does it make noise? Yap, this "Princess" (Her name!) sleeps most of the time, she is super fat now coz she is the 1 & only pup, the mommy take very good care of her. But we can see she is very naughty, when she wakes up, she will roll here & there, so small already know how to role over already! hw many days do u hv to wait for her to seperate from the mom? Many people might say the pup has to stick with the mom for 2 months, but for us we will seperate the pup from the mom when it start to grow teeth, or else it will hurt the mom actually. But we will still allow the pup to interact & play with the mom once a while, at the same time we will start introducing soaked kibbles to them. hmmm i kinda like the delivery process too but lz enuf to tak k the female dog prefer male dog haha cz female dog has period Then you should take male, but remember taking in a dog despite male or female need lots of preparation. btw u hv told me b4 v can use pad to tran the dog rite? does that mean that once we stopp using the pad the wont pee at the right pla ce anymore? was thinkin mb try to let them to pee on the pad when they get used to the place then change to newspaper You need to decide, if u use pad, then u have to continue use it, switching to newspaper might confuse them, they might get it, or u might need to train all over again. So if you plan to change to newspaper, why not just train it on newspaper from the beginning? ya if i m staying in double storey, u wud suggest me to train the puppy to pee and poo in my room toilet (2nd floor) or downstair? Where will your pup stay? For a start, i would suggest you to allow your pup to stay either upstairs or downstairs only, so u should concentrate on training at one toilet first, or else the pup will confuse. Added on March 23, 2007, 12:46 pmWP- i heard ppl said that even mini size maltese can also give birth up2 4 puppies if timing rite, is that so? Of corse there is always possibility, just that chances are larger size dogs will deliver more pups thats all. 2) how big can a mini maltese grow up to? A maltese should weight between 2-3kg. So i assume your mini maltese means less than 2.5kg? 3) i hv heard ppl said taiwan line and etc, which line is the best? and i heard ppl keep saying their dog is champian line how to know w/r their is champion or not? To determine the quality of the pup, u need to judge the pup itself. Both of my Angel's parents has no title, but Angel has wont numerous titles, so u should judge the pup itself first, linage & cert is for reference or guidance only. QUOTE(Digitral @ Mar 23 2007, 01:58 PM) hahahaha ... im sure my gf will happy to be '' godmother'' to ur new BB Our BB has new name already, "Princess" !!! Thanks to our god mother. allow me to know ur new BB maltese name ya ! so far my girl friend keep thinking of name for ur new BB maltese . btw , i feel ur new BB maltese look like Dory , hahah ! nice name mah . cuz the new BB look like Dory . my gf say named ur new BB called Princess wor . Btw is just our suggestion >< hehehe !!! i prefer u name ur new BB !!!! next time i would like to visit all of ur maltese one day , if u dun mind hehe! Sure you can pay us a visit one day, or do u wana join our pet gathering? My forum got organise, we can meet up then. Attached photo is our "Empress" (Not Emporers! To me, it seems like you havent found the "right one", dont rush into it, visit more breeders, do more research so you wont regret.
U know, there are lots of breeders around, it is not weird to find "purebreed" maltese which doesnt looks like maltese at all as there are breeders who just pair up any pair of maltese & produce puppies. You earn more when you disregards the quality, the health, the happiness of the dogs. Visit more breeders, my friend, until u locate a good one. Yeah i wont rush into it i was kinda disappointed when i visited some breeder and found out the way they treated the maltese mummy and the environment i hav so far visited 3 places, oni 1 place is acceptable as clean... hard to get the breeder info tho, dono where can i source for it, my fren gave me the info from the paper and he said dis is all dat he could find.. hmm well wil visit more breeder cz at this moment i dun hv the fund to purchase a maltese yet, but will myself prepare once i m there, then i can get myself a puppy and provide the best for him.. 1)btw WP do u plan to mate ur maltese? if yes, let me know ya i wan a male wan Currently no male. But can you wait? If you can wait then let me know. 2) when u free let me know wana to visit ur angle haha cz i hvnt seen an adult maltese with long fur Next week suppose got time, buzz me again next week ok? 3) y is the maltese puppy dat i vvisited pinkish in color and the fur is not as many as others puppy? but the size of it is smaller than others.. How old is the maltese? And which part pinkish? 4))according to WB , where shall i keep the puppy then? Well, WB told me that oso, so i decided to ignore him la! Make sure you doggies are clean, especially after coming back from outside. Juz the same as people, doggies do not generates germs & bacteria, but the environment does, so remember to keep clean. But i agree with WB though, adding a air filter/freshener is indeed better off, whether u own dog or not. This post has been edited by White Palace: Mar 27 2007, 11:55 PM Attached image(s) |

Need to wait abt half a year. 2) Next week suppose got time, buzz me again next week ok? Hm sure will give u a cal and arrange with u 3) How old is the maltese? And which part pinkish? Hmm is not really pinkish is like skin color not really obvoius, like we can still see the skin color and of course there is white fur as well, hmm i dono how to describe, he is 6 weeks old is smaller than others , but the other 2 look ok dun have pinkish color 4))adding a air filter/freshener is indeed better off, whether u own dog or not. have u gotten urself a filter? I have one, but seldom use. 5) do u sell play pen? i mean those plastic one if yes how much? Nope i'm not selling, but my forum got ppl sell very cheaply, so far the cheapest i've seen. 6) what food do u normall feed ur puppy? is that wat eu.... "Orijen" It is a holistic dog kibble, 70% meat, 30% Fruits, Vege, Herbs. Very good brand, very expensive too! This post has been edited by White Palace: Mar 29 2007, 08:41 PM Attached image(s) |

Maybe that pup has lesser fur, or maybe that pup fur lost due to whatever reason. I cant really comment since i have not seen the puppy myself. 2) "Orijen" It is a holistic dog kibble, 70% meat, 30% Fruits, Vege, Herbs. Very good brand, very expensive too! But luckily i can get breeder price, so still not too bad. I hava heard ppl said the Brand Eukonabo (wrongly spelled i guess) is quite good, which is better? Well, comparing these 2 brands definitely Orijen is much better, as Orijen is a holistic brand & the ingredients are much better. 3) why havto wait for so long in order to get a male puppy Becoz my dogs are not machines, cant keep on ask them produce puppies. There are too many things to be concern about to take good care of a maltese, even me myseld is learning new things now and then, so it is important that the breeder is willing to share with you their knowledge and experience even after you bring back the puppies.
For those who bought puppies from us, we are not only selling the pup itself, we also "selling" along our service, knowledge, friendship, we consider the buyer as our family members since they "married" in one of our family member. So some might ask why we can't reduce our price, this is one of the reason why apart from we treat our dogs as our children. When we say a male do marking, means he will spray his urine whereever he goes in order to mark territory or to claim that "this place is mine!" And yes, even they understand they should pee where, but if that dog want to do marking, he will do it despite the understanding. When you talk about recognising the pad and do marking, it is different thing. Like for my maltese, they do recognise the pad & as long as they are not lost or getting too far away from the pad, they will pee on the pad. But for dogs who do marking, he will do it practically everywhere it goes. Attached thumbnail(s) |
