HAHA, ya sure, the way MuLan walk is really amazing, that is what show judges looking for for a show dog, besides the structure & looks, movement is very important.

Luckily Angel seems follow the traits, she attracts almost 50% of the judge attention through out the show she competed in, that's why the judge like attracted by her & this is her extra point of winning other imported dogs & best of breeds.

We do record videos of Angel at show, but it is at Ying's Penang home, when we get it will share with you guys.

QUOTE(Gred @ Feb 1 2007, 05:51 PM)
Hi All,

I have a male maltese, Darrel. Darrel is 8 months old. I bought it from a breeder in SS2.
MKA cert. It has championship bloodlines, but not his parents tho...but his gran grand parents. He is sweet and cute. I have neutered him (He cant give birth anymore, pls note)

However, my gf's mum has asthma attack recently and happen quite often. They all are blaming my dog...darrel's fur or something that somehow makes my gf's mum got the asthma attack, due to allergy.

I cant keep the dog in the house anymore. I only left out with 2 options.
1) Put the dog outside and let him rot freely....no longer an inhouse toy dog.
2) Selling it cheap to someone that really can take good care of him.

No words can describe how sad and regret I am. Things just happen liek that yoou know. Before me and my gf bougth it, we did lotsa reseach and willign to take all the responsibilities, maltese is cute and sweet and my gf non stop giving me support to get one. Shit happens too u know. Just after 2-3 weeks I bought it, my gf starts complaining many things and time need to spend on the dog, cleaning shit pee n poo, bathe etc, and now she doesnt even touch at it anymore. Sigh. Now her mum got asthma attack, they all blaming my dog and keep asking me to give it to other people or find a solution.
i have no ways out.

I do not know how much should I sell it. I still love this dog very much.
Thought of giving it out for free too but ...I don know...I am very confused.
Thank you.

Edited: Please read the rules and regulations.... no placing dogs for sale here.

QUOTE(kimmie @ Feb 1 2007, 10:37 PM)
geee i didnt know ppl would get asthma from it.from what i heard its under non allegy category....hypoallergenic dogs, dogs with hair not fur...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypoallergenic_dog_breeds
my whole family are asthmatic;serious case here my sis also being admited to hospital. we have pampered shih tzu at home and no problemo~ i guess maybe ur mother in law is allegic to dog likely.hope he will find a good home!
*
Me myself do have serious asthma when i was a kid, even clinic dare not attend my case, juz in case.. u know.

But now of corse i recovered but not as healthy as popeye though, but maltese "hair" (not fur) wouldnt drop much, even it does, the texture is like human's hair, i have no problem sleeping with 4 maltese everynight on the same bed, so i dont think your maltese cause the asthm a problem of your "future mom in law".

No matter what's your decision, make sure the next owner is a good one.

QUOTE(-K3N- @ Feb 1 2007, 11:27 PM)
a mix of maltase n terrier.. rm700.. do u think its worth da price ?
*
Any dog even mongrel worth more than that, but when we are talking abt market rate, a mixed breed normally are not priced that high and it is not encouraging to mix breed a dog.

The maltese was supposed to be Chansey's teman, but then Chansey won't be arriving till next Tuesday. She's really naughty, when I want to sleep already she'll start playing around, force me to wake up only. Lol.

I've taken some pictures with my hp. Will upload them when I'm free. =D

QUOTE(chankingguan @ Mar 9 2007, 04:24 PM)
Hi all. I just got my maltese yesterday, and i just wanna clear some doubts with the pros in this forum. He's 3 months old..and very sticky...always need people's attention... I named him Snowy.

1) I wanted to do paper training but the pet shop owner where i got him from advised me to buy a cage...kinda small..just slightly larger than a normal crate. Snowy lives in my room but i bring the cage to the kitchen and feed him in there. He didnt poo the first day..hahaha..he only pooed today after being fed lunch. The cage has an undertray, which the pet shop owner advised me to just let him poo in the cage then wash it. The pet shop owner also said after doing this frequently he would get used to it then i can leave the door open and he will eliminate there when he wants to. I was wondering if i can housebreak him dat way. If it is wrong, care to advise another method?

Dogs are animals who love to keep clean, unless he/she has no choice, they will choose not to eliminate at the place they stay, so it is advisable for you to decide which a place for them to pee & poo, there are lots of training methods, just choose one that suits you most.

2) The first day home he didnt cry or bark at nite..No sound at all. I was so surprised...literally SHOCKED. Even when i left the room he didnt even make a sound. Im sure he noticed me leaving but he didnt even made a noise. Is it normal?

First few days if they do act adnormally, it is normal as they are just newly introduced to a new environment.

3) Everytime i leave him, he will bark like crazy. Today i tried leaving him for just one hour...and he barked like crazy when i left him. When i came back he was all silent, then saw me then bark like crazy again. I locked him in the cage during that hour. Izzit okay to train him like dat?

If he bark, you should say NO! then ignore him. Punishing him by caging will make him hates the cage more.

4) How fast do they learn their names? Till now, i dont think he knows he's called Snowy. He just want my company dats all.

Not to worry, i'm sure they will learn their name soon, most of my maltese can differentiate whether i call their name or others'.

5) How sticky are your maltese? Mine cant be left for even one second...he doesnt bark when im around (not even once) but the moment im gone all hell breaks lose. Anyway to reduce this "separation anxiety"? Even the pet shop owner says my puppy is especially sticky, since arrive in the shop doesnt even want to be caged, just want to be held. I want to at least train him to be more independent, maybe be alone for 3 to 4 hours max. Should i ignore his barks and pleas, or should i be soft-hearted?

My maltese sleep with us, very sticky. Of corse all the dogs love human attention, & i think it is not a bad thing at all if your dog love your companion so much. Maybe you should try to leave some toys for your dog to pay around when you are away? Or probably your dog dont get used to the new place yet, so felt worry without you there.

6) I want to train him, sit, stay, come, etc. But when i wanted to buy treats, the pet shop owner says wait till he noes how to differentiate between his staple food and treats. Can i train him using his kibbles? Currently, i soften his kibbles b4 feeding him. Anyway to train him now? or i reli have to get treats?

Well, for me i always train my dog before meal, which means i will command them to do something before feeding, or as a purpose of reward when they did something right. But if you do want to get treats, why not? juz dont make it their main meal, & use the treat wisely as a reward or training purposes.

7) I lock him in the cage when sleeping at nite coz i don wan him to eliminate all over my room..izzit ok he was ok the first nite.

Unless you plan to cage him forever, you should start training him to eliminate at the right spot, then things will get easier, your maltese can even sleep with you, isnt it fun?

Thanks ahead for all the helpful replies. smile.gif

Yap, so far i train my dogs using kibbles, & the best time is before feeding.

While we are aware of most treats has no nutritional value, we also should be aware of the brand of kibbles we are feeding, feeding low quality kibbles bring no benefits to our pups either. smile.gif

I don't know how you get their fur soooo white.
My maltese fur is always a little dirty-white type no matter how much I try to make it fully white.
*
You mean the fur at the body? It is borned to be, so nothing much you can do. But for tear stain, yes, can improve it.

QUOTE(Digitral @ Mar 18 2007, 12:14 AM)
yala ...white palace 's Angel fur very pure white , and no eye's stain at all ... i bet white palace and her gf very take good care of it . tat time i bought 2 costum from him and he come my house with their Angel . and my lui lui want to make friend with Angel hahaha !!!!.. Angel very very quiet and so elegant !!!
*
There are some tricks, but still main thing is how much effort you spend, like Angel we spend more time on her so tear stain problem not obvious, we also have maltese got bad tear stain problem, so even you know the way, time & effort is important. wink.gif
