QUOTE(White Palace @ Aug 8 2007, 02:26 AM) Haha, it doesnt mean she is not a good owner, just that at that time, there are few interested persons, so we get the most suitable one for the dog, not necessary that owner is the best owner. Glad that she is still my friend now, meaning she is a nice person after all. jaunty is a understanding person , decision will goes to you to find the most suitable owner for the dog .But i know you failed her doesn't mean that she is bad but i can see you are strict and you are not a person who simply pass the dog to the new dog owner =') Yang, your attached photo shown which Maltese there , so cute This post has been edited by Digitral: Aug 8 2007, 04:09 AM |

QUOTE(jaunty_niel @ Aug 9 2007, 12:12 AM) eh dats da new maltese for sale ar? Nowadays really have to be very careful . even send own furkid for boarding service have to beware also.rejected or kena declined doesnt mean dat u cant be friends rite, its just circumstances. if i wanna put my own furkids for adoption i oso wanna look nicely lah, no more indian ladies. phobia = =, not even a boarding centre wif indian ladies.. its better 2 b strict if u wan da dog to be in safe hands. some they jus adopt den sell, adopt n mate, adopt and ditch.. so headache when i go bac 2 my hometown, my uncle say his french poddle mate wif his shihtzu den get 4 puppies. i was like, zzz, both da dogs has no mka, n the decendents would be.. mongrels? sad nia. we cannot reach people mind , just like what the Indian Lady did what to Prince , it is so obvious that she want Prince badly and want MKA cert somemore . Hmm , even a teacher also a evil thinking side , we cannot read their mind . Actually there lots of uncle or auntie dun know about if increase the amount of mix breed , and what will it happen . Then will be end up put for adoption or sell to pet shop . The chance to see lots of mix breed at the street will be increase too . Sigh ='( Regarding adoption , there lots of owner been mistake choosing the potential owner then end up the dog sell away , breeding and etc ...Then the responsible will be the owner already , some of the owner failed to reach the adopter some more after adopt a dog , really frightening want . That why strict is good , and like what u say Jaunty , Even if u got a dog up for adoption ...of course you will find a most suitable home for own furkid right =') Same goes to Everyone . QUOTE(angelgurl_nee @ Aug 9 2007, 03:37 PM) one of the pet shop owners that i met actually say better let my furkid interact with some other dogs after he finishes all his vacci coz if not they might grow to b afriad of other dogs coz they have never met another.... the best age to let some other dog will be like what the shop owner say and someone say is better to be below 1 years old =') so i was thinking of another partner for him might b a gd idea also... but actually will they grow to b afraid of other dogs ar??...coz thats what i heard from the pet shop owner... other matter to be concern will be the personality of the dog , some really a jealous type , better goggle to know more personality of the dog A story to share , my friend own a american cocker spaniel 7 years back . A lovely ACS always being love by owner suddenly owner decide to get a GR as her 2nd dog when the ACS at age 3 years old . Okay , the american cocker started to get jealous and dont like friend with the GR . But Gr is a friendly dog , the GR woudn't mind the way what ACS treat her and the worst thing is when ACS eat her meal , never let other dog near her , will bark if she know other will near her meal time . okay ACS at age 4 , her husband buy a BUlldog for her , the ACS become more more fierce and always fight with the bulldog . The bulldog and ACS always fight to be the leader at house =') Added on August 9, 2007, 5:01 pm QUOTE(babymiki @ Aug 9 2007, 04:39 PM) Angel ,Actually babymiki got a concern point here . Well rearing two dog at the same time will be more busy , and hard to handle when come to training . Actually my recommendation will be after Mikey done it training and u satisfied with Mikey performace only consider find a friend for Mikey . Main point will be allow you to be easy to teach a dog This post has been edited by Digitral: Aug 9 2007, 05:01 PM |

Actually my Gf's uncle own 4 dog . His shihtzu now almost 14 years old .
and the shihtzu teach the other 3 dogs . This is what my Gf's uncle told =') i went my GF's uncle place during CNY , My Gf's Uncle dog really obedient and never fight . He say when he own other 3 dogs , he no need to teach them already and the other dog seem understand basic command , and this is true . All his dog stay indoor even though a Doberman can friend with shihtzu =') My recommendation is better teach good a dog first then only decide get a friend for own furkid . so the other friend of your furkid can learn a good thing from Senior , Just my 2 cents . QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Aug 9 2007, 10:03 PM) You know why? This is coz Alpha status.... you may the Alpha leader in the pack but then the 2nd dog in command will help with the heirachy of the pack too. Like my shih tzu last time, he was the boss of my 2 boxers and lab.... if they don't behave properly, he will bark at them till make them lie down or hide away. Wow , Hun ...It mean your shihtzu last time was the boss of your 2 boxers and lab also .This is why I did state earlier, the best age gap for dogs is 3 years.... you get 1 pup 1st, train it and once it reach 3 years old, get another dog.... the older one will teach the younger one manners and rules. Basic pack instinct lah. And will bark at them if they don't behave properly , Woow your shihtzu really Cool , Hun =') Nice story to share here too , So the age gap for dogs will be 3 years old yeah , i remember my Gf's uncle shihtzu like almost 3&half years old then they only get another dog so this is why Hun recommend 3 years old is the best age to get another dog |
