Anyone can play dota2 in uni with no lag/delay??? Using hostel line or broadband?? If broadband, which one is better??(Celcom, Digi, Maxis)
Going uni le this coming september, hope that weekends i can still play a few match to relieve stress in uni

nvr try before I dont think wireless bb good for gaming, like p1 wimax the ping really bad cant even play proper games.

i have friends in ums, um, and im in upm and its impossible to play lagless lan game using uni line...

but lucky for me we have the yes tower in campus so using yes bb play np..

It's quite impossible actually to play Dota 2 using hostel's network. First you gotta make sure the required ports for steam and online play is open (http://tinyw.in/2IQg) . Even then, there are other issues to consider like network stability, speed etc. However if you have a smartphone then Maxis is easily the best choice. Not only you'll get a decent ping (around 125 ms), but there's also a RM1 1GB subscription from 2am to 7am, which is really nice. You might want to check the coverage in your area though, Maxis broadband in my place (Serdang) is quite okay

p/s: Don't take Celcom, ping is lower but game is still gonna spike like hell

unimap cant.. but there is someone that host dota2 lan and also dota1.. living in kkf..

I used maxis and umoblie to play dota 2 at my college. Area around pj, ping is acceptable, 90-180 ms.
Just need to make sure your modem is cool though.

my friend use maxis broadband and play dota 2 everyday. haha
