I have viewed a few units at Alam Idaman and I had the intention of viewing Subang Andaman too until it occurred to me that as long as CSR(sugar factory) is right opposite, there will always be risk of factory workers living in the same condo as you. I guess the "home environment" is important to a lot of buyers so this is something that kind of turned me off. FYI, Alam Idaman is also below street level, limited access road and (for me) the carpark looks like a flat. Very limited condo facilities with pipes, cable casings, etc. sticking out of hallways and a small pool. But at least it is new, freehold, a whole RM100K cheaper and part of further development down the pipeline by the same developer. Also, if there are events at the stadium, at least you don't have to turn right along with the traffic, after coming off Federal Highway(from KL).

In the end, I chose Metia. With the kind of prices the owners of Alam Idaman was asking at that time(RM320K to RM330K), if you include transactional costs, it is already close to RM350K. Might as well buy Metia(allows me to save for another 3 years), which I did.

the land is small, that is why they are building up. and that is why they planned 2 carparks per unit, because they cannot afford to have parking problems(CF may not be issued). try not to focus on the negative only because you will not be able to find a unit/development that is 100% perfect and even if you do, you won't be able to afford it. gotta keep it real. a lot of dust? shut the windows. or buy higher floors. if you weigh all the pros and cons, you will realise the pros outweigh the cons by a LOT in this project.
