I have installed the K codec pack. But this is something that has been bugging me for a long time. Everytime I play any movie the sound is loud, then when I skip/fast forward, the sound becomes soft. If I pause then play the sound is loud, but the moment I use the volume in the software the sound dramatically becomes soft, even though the max vol. Max software vol is not the same as the vol after pause play and when I open a movie file. Also I notice that there is this Fddshow video decoder whenever I play any kind of video file. I really hate this, I have to increase the vol, then when pause/play the sound is so loud.

If you are using media player classic, go to options, filters, audio decoders. Uncheck "Normalize".
