jump from s4 to XZU ok kah? i am aiming at nexus 7 becos i wan a device that i am able to read ebooks, watch movies, gaming stuff when i go offshore. I already have TF300 10.1inch tablet but it was too heavy for handheld purpose. now got this XZU looks like i can get something best of both worlds, a phone and a tablet.
as user of Galaxy Mega, I think yes. Its quite usable. My wife watch TVB series on it. 6.44" already approaching 7" Nexus which people use to watch movie and read ebook.
oh ok.. but then the only thing i wan at XZU is a active stylus, but it dont have note 3 also no news now. if no stylus also ok la.. i still prefer bringing a note to jot something down, u know la, bringing out a phone during meeting with a bunch of engineers is like ppl tot u playing phone lol..
real world scenario when you really wanna take some note down, what in the world is faster than a paper and pen? even on note 2 is cumbersome to say the least.
i think writing on phone is just good when u wan to present something, digitally. But if u are not doing artistic stuff, some capacitive stylus is good enuf, just tat u have to bring along something with u >< i like the fact for note 2 that the stylus is readily available.

I not going to post that at front page 1st, currently the firmware at Xperia Z Ultra is not the latest where all get hands-on previously.
It did not use the latest home launcher, wallpaper and not even support X-Reality yet.
I assuming they still got improvement over it, it seems not that bad on what been seen on the hands-on for stylus part.
Lets wait until another firmware come out which in-corporate the exact X-Reality function & new home launcher, maybe Sony already work on it. Let get sometimes to Sony, wait for firmware updates, see how the situation before I ever mention it at main page.
If the stylus end-up still that gimmick, Sony really need more study and work on it.
why they wan to launch something that is not as advertised? Wow ok this is seriously fuk up. Sony at playstation have reputation of showing pre-rendered gameplay footage and CLAIMED as in game rendering since PS2 ( remember they show Toy story 2 game gameplay the graphics like movie but shit came out later. If they start to use this strategy at phone, my God.. i was just having good impression with this phone due to the size that is perfect for my usage..
a lot of XZU 3G buyer in this thread will hate u for saying this
If following S4 3G and S4 LTE, the price point is different:-
S4 3G 16GB = RM2299 S4 LTE 32GB = RM2499
Truth cannot be hidden but i think Sony is Sony, Samsung is samsung, samsung strategy is to flood the market with their phone, i believe Sony is not like that.
Most likely yes. The thinness of the XZU is too irresistible! It feels like a sweeter version of my iPad Mini. Yes, I'd order this too if there aren't any better cases from Sony directly. Thanks for the clarification. I was thinking that would be the case, else no way the Sony Centres could have gotten their stock so fast! From the XZU promo video by Sony, where the lady sat on the sofa and opened the flip-case, and the XZU turned on by itself. If you read the specs of the dock, they have special adapters for the cover too.
oh tat one.. looks like a smart cover kind of flip case tat got segment one.. i like this sleep/wake cover better than others.. but now i still dunno wan to buy or not >< very tempting.. but i need to fork out 1k if i trade in my s4 ><

guyz... yesterday I read a news... samsung s4 active warranty didnt cover water damage..
before u submerge ur xzu... u better check ur warranty details if sony cover it... samsung can close shop
i believe no phone cover water damage, even active, cos u can drop into 100m sea then u say u drop in 1meter water depth then water resistant not functioning.
What worries me though is the open headphone jack. the XZ had flaps on em. I had a scenario with my previous HTC One X where water got in the open jack, and my phone went haywire as it shows that i had a headphone jack slotted in while i didnt. it went on for a few hours. But then again, it was a non IP rated device to begin with. But unless any vids come out regarding the jack being submerged/washed with water, then we should take XZU water-resistance with a little caution.
dont worry, they say open jack is better water resistant than flap. cos they waterproof the open jack, if flap is loose water goes in. so with XZU, u can listen to music/movies with earphones on while u are in the pool or at bath tub.
