Where is the pixel located?

I remember having several dead pixels on the xperia Z. They don't appear when the brightness is set below 50% but anything higher, and you'll notice them. How about yours?

Usually warranty covers more than 3 dead pixels if I am not mistaken.

Those are for some manufacturers and AP sets, for example brightstar would only entertain from 7 dead pixel onwards.

I did some reading and found those commenting in the xperia Z thread that sony doesn't have a dead pixel policy so you can exchange your phone when you spot it without having to wait for more to appear. I cannot verify if this is true or not, but why don't you try going to the sony center and telling that that you have a dead pixel on screen and want to exchange your phone.

Seeing that it Is quite new, I don't think they'll replace the screen, most probably replace the whole device for you. Try it

When exactly did you buy the phone? Before the 1st of August? If so, perhaps its better to get the date written asap.

By the way, It should be okay as long as the Thorus / Midland stickers are there.

Shouldn't be a problem now If you get him to put the date for you and you go to sony to ask for a replacement. See if they have any policy against it.

Yes, factory supplied anti-shatter screen protector. Better to put a layer of SP on top of it though if you are afraid of scratching it.

No. Speaking from experience from the time I was using the xperia z with an additional screen protector, it didn't impair the ability of the touch screen. Still sensitive and smooth. No issues to complain

I think they are using dragontrail instead of gorilla glass, which works just as good.

Looks like the XZU is slightly yellowish.

Domestic Japanese Phones had long had the waterproof claim. Long before the XZ as well.

Look at the lower right part of the screenshot. There is a watermark. It is from a chinese forum so probably from someone over in China

In my opinion, It doesn't sound like a good deal. You could probably get more by selling your phone to someone else in garage sales.
