The apps n widget icons are exactly like yours
Only battery at task bar is horizontal
What is the last Screenshots about.? The one with the search detail. Where you invoke this.?

Uncle, on ur apps drawer, swipe to left. Kinda like iPhone home screen when u swipe to left most it invoke the search bar.

You won't get this as it is base on new launcher. It appear in all the press review.

Sony Xperia Z Ultra comes with handwriting recognition which is compatible with any pencil and selected stylus or pen (capacitive stylus or metal pen with tip diameter over 1mm).

I know but it look not really smooth and work with everything, also the palm resting issue, and user here had mention it can't compare with Note II stylus yet. Once I get it, I will try it out myself.

Does anyone has any information on which telco will subsidize this puppy ?

yup. I remember the unit i play in Sony HQ and HK got the search features.
Really hope Sony will update the firmware on the day it launch which is this Thursday.

The demo video shows you can write n even sketch on top of display without using the write pad
There was one even showing scribbling stuffs onto a image
Maybe all these will come in future updates

Image overlay or whatever draw/sketch/write feature is fine.

My main gripe is the palm rejection. Whatever you want to write/scribble has to be done with your palm above the screen. And you need to have some correctly conductive writing instrument handy.

Personally I find the device too thin.

To those who are using this phone, can you download talkbox and see whether the app aren't optimize for this display? Looks really weird on mine

I did have problems with GSC Cinema Booking App (the seat-booking diagram becomes very small) and even Maybank2u.Com Website (the button overlay don't correspond well to touches resulting in many mis-clicks, etc.) when using my HTC One. Seems that certain apps and websites are still not optimized for 1080p touch-screen on phones.

Yup, now just wait Sony release new firmware.

Stylus is not important to me. I am ok with it. Palm resting not an issue also as I never rest my palm during swiping, typing or even using stylus in my friend Note II.

Yeah hope they'll do an update to it. The talk box app is very off

Sorry typed wrong topic supposed to be at HTC one title.if it did come out for ultra also it will be too bulky.
