FoT and Sweeping Wind benefit from lightning based weapon like WKL.
The gain is approx 18-20% of paper DPS.

Many drop WKL because there are many rare weapons that can give more than 20% of dps boost.
Secondly, it depends on your build, builds like WoL and Cyclone Strike are holy damage based. Meaning it won't gain much from WKL.

tried wkl didnt like it...

unfortunately i am a face value person... want to see high dps on char screen then only feel shiok...

but mainly bcos cookie cutter build a bit monotonous... prefer to play other build sometines

bell ftw... high dps...high ls return... high aoe....dmg mitigation to clear space since theres knockback and awesoneness to kill 30 in one hit.

Yeah bell's great but what I really like about monk is the build diversity. There's so many different builds, from nirvana to trigen to bell to crowd control. It's just insanely immense and I'd love to try out all those builds. At the moment I'm loving the single LS with WKL build. I feel vulnerable and it makes me time my attacks and retreats. It's challenging and I love it. I can't speak for caster class but playing a barb facerolling and DH perma gloom standing on all affix gets really old and boring. So far really enjoying monk.

Just wondering, anyone using SoJ setup? what do you think about it? Is it worth the lost of stats from rare ring to get that 28-30% E Damage/skill damage?

I used to run a SoJ with 30% bonus and 12% SW +6% cold. IMHO, end game ring for end game gears. You will lose alot of stats, i.e CC, CD ASI and average damage so paper dps loss is really a pain, but if you raw damage is high enough , it is the best ring to farm with. Elites just melt away...and probably the BEST ring for ubers.

Use SoJ long time ago, before it got super expensive

Although I still got a pretty decent SoJ (29% to E, 6% cold, 1.97 Spirit regen, 6% SW Bonus), i dont use it anymore... put that into my follower for the cold dmg.

My Nat ring is fixed. And for para-leveling, I need a Hellfire. Moreover, para-leveling, killing white mobs fast is important!

Think i'm gonna try with SoJ and yeah they are super expensive these days. The things is I see a lot of monks not using SoJ. I guess its not significant enough like Barb Hota SoJ. That one makes a huge difference. Mine not cold one but I'll just play around with it. At the moment, using HF ring also.

If TR, SOJ is probably mandatory.

anything go for buy n try it no harm ,if u demand of SOJ go for lightning% match v WKL to use FOT n SW awesome lightning% dmg boost , but cant compare WOL spamming HOLY dmg like barba HOTA high end dmg this is wht i experience came across..

For my build, 2 reasons I dropped my SoJ.
I didn't have adequate EHP with SoJ.
I didn't need spirit generation from SoJ. FoT/Quickening is the perfect skill for spirit generation. No gear can replace that.

Well, if I can still recall correctly ...no gear can kill elite packs faster and easily other than a 6% cold 30% BvE SoJ featuring SW for monk.

for my opinion monk without SOJ go for performance gear also the same way can kill faster ,IF monk had high APS ,CC%,CD% just only way spamming WOL can count a sec done a pack elite also.... very fun...

As my 2nd monk don't use mempo. so i make full use of inna's extra affix SW bonus 12% combine with SOJ SW 12% and WKL 22%. tdps kinda good tho.
