Been so busy - no time for bricking!
Don't like Chima. Can pass.
Thanks for the info - but not heading to Ikano. Was there on Friday. Plan to redeem some Bonuslink points for Parkson vouchers. Think can get about RM 110 worth. Thinking what to buy. Have a few sets in mind, may go and look-see at Parkson.

OT: been busy setting up my Detolf cabinets for my Hot Toys. Finally done! Taking out figures, inspecting and posing also for display also hard work. Learnt some valuable lessons as well.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Those who plan to start or getting poisoned (you know who you are!), please take heed. Heartbreaking that I found 2 of my figures with damage. Both figures with fake "leather" materials - Hot Toys Terminator Salvation John Connor and Sideshow Aragorn.

If you have a weak heart, do not open!

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

I think my decision to slowly move away from Hot Toys is a good one. What's the worst that could happen to our LEGO - yellowing white bricks? Some minor dents and scratches?

Someone mentioned something in the XL forum - our toys need to be opened and displayed. They need to "breathe". I'm starting to believe it. These were kept in boxes, away from direct sunlight yet damage could happen. I have another figure with the fake leather - Bane. I guess I'll remove the jacket and just display it or leave it in the open.

Lucky nothing happened to my figures with rubber suits. And yes, I have alot of rubbers.

Some of my accessories already starting to get sticky - such as the goggles for my SWAT figure.

Our climate really not suitable for these figures. Ubah! tongue.gif

agree with u. the MKII is really huge (i don't think big is suitable)
really like the picture of glow in dark thumbup.gif maybe i'll try take some pictures like this in future...
ya... really painful...
for me, i finish the MKII in 2 days and 2nd days when continue the fingers are much more painful than I expected...
to be honest, i'm prefer the 8070 hotrod, the alternative model than the main model but luckily i manage to resist this...
and i saw a classic set there brows.gif
nice mod thumbup.gif this reminds me that i'm also plan to mod my 8109 truck with V8 engine long time age...
*
QUOTE(paanjang16 @ Aug 11 2013, 07:22 PM)
Took 1 and a half days to build it, approx 9 hours to build. If start in the morning can finish in 1 day.
The alternate model for the 8070 looks cooler than the main model. The best part is the automatic roof!

If you want to build construction vehicles there is a whole range of vehicles to collect  sweat.gif cranes, backhoes, wheel loader, bulldozer, dump truck etc. So better to stick to technic flagships only.
Nice! Very "hot rod" like!

Old photo of my other Technic collection, 8448, 8258, 8053 and 8275. Three of them were dissembled long ago and the red car is in its alternate mode. Tempted to rebuild the 8053 to put it side by side with my 42009.

really? I thought the main model would look better so I build the alternate one first. The convertible roof is cool, but I find it too low as it's not to scale to the car.
For the doors, there's a grinding sound when it's closing (or was it opening), can't remember which. Not sure if this is common or I made a mistake somewhere.

Hauling Town Hall.... 600++.... laugh.gif include shipment...
To be honest, Winter Village Cottage is relatively like those LEGO family house. But just to have a cottage itself is insufficient because it seems like there is nowhere for the Winter Village Cottage resident to go... unless you mod your Modular to Winter Village feel then is different...

IMHO, its quite detail. It packed with Christmas / Holiday feeling... So I would say I give it a 9 for the set, and missing 1 point for being expensive for the set.

Hey guys, just wondering that LEGO only has a robotic right arm for minifig? No left arm?

I'm looking to build a custom superhero with robotic arms but cant find any left arm.
*
why don't just buy 2 of the torso then you'll have 2 robotic arms?

it's a Lego movie, I'm sure there are more than enough characters in it to be made into CMFs.
I hope they don't make different figs for the sets n CMF, any completionist will cry

So, this just got posted on BOM.

I'm so thrilled (bonus points if you know which movie this line came from tongue.gif)

Too excited to use translator!

EDIT:

In English now:

Also, trying out different hairstyles for Superman. Cause he has no "S" curl in the movie.

Kinda like this one - I think this is the most  "movie accurate" version.

Anyway -- if you watch season 2 of True Blood, this is Maryann Forrester, a Maenad from True Blood who dons a bull’s head helmet and manipulates people into a state of ecstatic frenzy such as engaging in uncontrolled sexual behavior like the couple in the background.

[attachmentid=3583234]

Here is a link to the video it if you're curious and not planning to follow True Blood.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTAjb0TX0bk --00:57 she transforms into a Maenad while 2:18 onwards you can see her putting on the head helmet doing that ecstatic dance. She quite mad one and the antagonist of season 2.

i'm always wondering is there any lego accesseries to make a scene of live news reporter...
yeah... the 42009 really heavy... even just the crane part...

thanks for all info about batteries...
i think my batteries are really not much power left if only last about 2-3 hours...
i did do some test run for my 8109 and 42009 with the same batteries... and with some heavy loads too laugh.gif

if i not mistaken, the test-meter should be able to find it in DIY shops... is the one with a meter and two cable with metal, touch the batteries + and -

is there any test-meter only for batteries or all purpose that can test other things as well...

BTW, did you guys got this test-meter? or simply change/recharge the batteries when the motor run slow...
haha... i'm quite interest if there are any "affordable Ferrari" laugh.gif
