Hi everyone. I just went to LLM recently and fall in love again with Lego. I am planning to buy 1 Lego Technic as my 1st start. I am looking at the 9398 Crawler and The 42009 Crane. Can you guys suggest me which one is the worth buy?

Hi and welcome back to Lego! biggrin.gif

If you plan to get only one then my recommendation is to go for the 42009 Mobile Crane MKII! thumbup.gif

But then again usually you never stop at just one so assuming you are in love with big Technics then the current contenders are:

1. 8110 Mercedes Benz Unimog U400
2. 9398 4x4 Crawler
3. 42009 Mobile Crane MKII

I would suggest getting them in that order as 8110 and 9398 are the older sets and may be discontinued soon. Prices for these two sets has come down so it is more value for money. Having said that, 42009 is also pretty good value for something that size and if you can still find the re-sellers selling it below RM800 it is a good buy too. nod.gif

Hey guys,

Haven't been active in the forums for years now.

Been only shopping stuff on the garage sales occasionally.

I just got hooked to lego recently and i ended up selling some sets with my friend.

Thanks for the feedback, I might take the Unimog into consideration. My interest is not only for Technics, so I may end up buy 1 only.

I am planning to get a big Lego set also, my first buy will be the Vampyre Castle from Monster Fighter line. Then I will go for the King's Siege Castle set next year and Imperial Fleet Ship on another year. tongue.gif

i know lego is tempting

thats why i'm jus going to stick to the clone wars set.

going to be expensive trying to collect the clone commanders...
