For chambering, do i pick a small or bik bik firm?

Later when admitted to bar liaw, i go work for small or bik2 firm?

Actually, it depends on which area you wanna practice.

You wanna go liti, convey or corporate.

Then you go choose the appropriate firm that does the appropriate work.

I sent resume to mid sized firms, less than 10 partners

chambering is it?

Not many place for internship in law firms. Why don't you try the small firms with one, two or three lawyers? If you try those big big like Skrin & Co, Shern Delamore, chances r you will have to wait long or maybe never get any offer at all.

Or go for commercial la. A lot of banks hiring law grads.

If the fella wanna practice he must work in a law firm la...

If want to go in-house different story

But anyway he have even grad yet...

Kl..
I dont want bik firm, later i got sidelined,

I dont wan small chapalang law firm, which doesnt offer me career advancement opportunity
*
Hmm...you haven't graduate yet right? You are only doing attachment only right?

Some small firms the lawyers are very established and well know.

You could learn loads from them.

As for career, when you chamber only you choose your firm you chamber in carefully if you wanna work for them...

Chamber laaah

Aisey, say lah chamber doh.gif

I forgot the term pupillage alreadylah... biggrin.gif

Like that, mid sized firms more difficult to get in than big firms and small firms.

You already explained the reason why.

Why not try with big firm, if fail to get in then only apply with mid sized firm first?

Really? i thought got huge market demands for litigation chambees hmm.gif

True dat...and there's a reason for it...

You willing to pull overnighters? Nowadays the courts move damn fast....

Do you like trawling through MLJ, CLJ to do research?

You can take the stress, there is plenty of job openings for you....

From what I heard, many firms want conveyancing coz nobody wanna do... lal chamby wants litigation coz that area baru look like loyar. conveyancing makes a loyar look like clerk.

but dont lose hope, if u wan litigation then keep sending resumes out. dont stop. Try another 50 firms.
*
Meh, some lawyers first came out of chambering wanna act like lawyers in LA Law doing liti.

Then turns out, many times kena burn midnight candle researching cases because closing oral arguments the next day, boss want you to research this point and that point.

Tak boleh tahan, rather do convey.....

Lawyers like me.... tongue.gif

But it is fun if you can take the stress...
