Hi guys, can I know what store around KL that sells old xbox games like HALO. I'm planning to buy an XBOX 360 but I have to make sure such games are still being sold at stores.

Halo? You mean for the fat old XBox and not the 360?

Halo: combat evolved. has got a spanking new remake for the xbox 360, published by 343 industries. One problem solved.
As for the others, please note:
1. You can find some Xbox Originals on Xbox live . There are games like Ninja Gaiden Black, jade empire, psychonauts etc . The list is quite short, though.
2. Xbox 360 does not have full back compatibility with all xbox games.

If you want to run XBOX game on XBOX360, you need a capable harddisk drive with correct partition and the emulation is far from perfect...

If you mean the early XBOX360 games, yes they're still available and there's even Games on Demand ready for you to purchase & download. If you subscribe to XBOX LIVE gold you even get 2 selected game for free per month.

However, if you're asking if those pirate/RM8 copy availability on our local cheapskate game store, here is not the right place to ask....

If you're talking about Halo for Xbox 360, then there's no worries. All Halo games are region free. Even if there's no one selling them here, you could import from eBay.

Now, if you're talking about Halo for the old Xbox, then I suggest get a working old Xbox and unfortunately you had to dig around as games for the old Xbox are not that easy to come by, especially if you prefer physical copies. If not, there's always downloadable version.

Why I suggest you get the old console instead of running them on Xbox 360? First, there's not much compatibility for those games on Xbox 360 and the experience running them on Xbox 360 is similar to when running them on the old Xbox, which mean you're isolated, can't connect to Xbox Live, can't do party chat etc.

Guys basically I just want to know where to buy a handful of old XBOX 360 games(preferably 06-07 games) not the old Xbox console. I am not asking for pirated ones, I am asking for original ones of course.

Do you have any specific criteria like must be special edition or must have physical disc or sort?

If you're ok with 2nd hand you can go to garage sales section to hunt also. and FYI if you're gold member you can even wait for these old games available for you to download for free. They change the title every half a month. So far the already free Fable 3, Assassin Cree 2 & Defense Grid. Halo 3 is on the list as announced on E3 but not sure by when.

Just my luck, most of my games are out of order.

I'm new to the xbox360 scene as well.
I got quite a number of good old games from the pasar malam thread.
used for rm30-rm50.
the only new game I bought was fallout3 new vegas from qisahn, for rm40.

I always bought mine from HK and TW.... Going to HK again next weekends.

at HK you can buy at golden computer centre sham shui po the shop lot still selling old xbox game some is second hand games, have alot of shop lot that u can choice ....

Im buyin Xbox 360..but certain thing that i dont know..like i heard some game was not supported...upgrade? jtag?? what is that all about?? and is 4gb is even matter??

Bro go for original, jtag for pirate dics, if your dics is region lock than u cant play, xbox 4 gb is the memory

So that mean that i have to buy original games so it can be play?? and the 4gb memory is for the save data of your game??

If you want advice regarding pirated games and/or modded consoles, then ask somewhere else. We did not discuss piracy here.
