One of my favourite games of all time. Also one of the games I modded to hell and back, once upon a time.

Good memories mang, good memories.

Lol I just remembered what I did to a friend way back.

I totally destroyed him in a game with rocketeers the previous game. So this dude puts up GGI guys around his perimeter. Now these guys pack a punch but not so accurate on moving land targets.

So I put engineers in two or three IFVs and waited near his compound (gotta love dogs <3). Hidden behind some bushes of course. Not so obvious at a glance.

He started coming at me first. I had all my units except the IFVs in base so he wasn't making much of a dent.

BUT...

Right when I am confident his remaining forces are hopeless and he's still trying to maximize the ROI from them, I sent my IFVs in (they're quite fast really). Managed to get one deployed next to his yard and captured. Sold it immediately.

The free GIs started shooting at his buildings, so he got a message about being under attack. I was laughing too damn hard to bother moving them out of harms way.

Come to think of it, I still laughed for a couple of months after that when I see him.

thats a lesson for him to always remember to wall your non-production buildings. too many games are lost cus many nubs too lazy to spend some chump change and a few seconds to wall up their key structures. tsk tsk tsk.

There is a downside when you wall up. You can't move away quickly when you need to.

There are situations where you move your MCV to higher ground especially when your opponent is using Soviet.

But walling is most of the time a good idea. I would leave one corner open and put dogs there, preferably on the blind side for maximum lulz.
