Maxis introduced new service called Surf 'n' Share with features very similar to MultiSIM-1-Line. biggrin.gif

Any improvements after the update ?

I was using the beta version previously. I don't like the new Dispatch dashboard, claimed to be more responsive but it crashed a few times if loaded for too long (a few days). Haven't try the final release yet.

More options for advanced Hotspot PRO version users where you can configure your preferred DHCP range. Newer drivers to solve issues that users are experiencing but I didn't notice any difference since I don't have any issue previously.

Dispatch feature wise, don't feel much difference as well. sweat.gif

One outdated news for those interested in Connectify Switchboard:
They've added a server closer to us based in Singapore. I can see some significant improvement on the Beta4 release.

Have yet to get a thorough tests on it. Waiting for my cheap dual port ethernet adapter to be shipped from Hong Kong. tongue.gif

So do you think its better not update as the previous one is stable already.

I only use Dispatch sometimes and dun use Hotspot as i have 2 very good 3G routers namely Asus RT N16 and 1043ND. The rest like N13, HW550, MR3420 V1 & V2 serves as bench warmer only  laugh.gif
*
I always update to their latest version no matter what. Just need to get use to the dashboard that I don't like much. tongue.gif
I'm using Hotspot to share out Dispatch's load balanced connections via TL-WDR4300 so that every devices in my house can enjoy the slightly improved connection. Planning to replace it with Switchboard connection once it's consistent and reliable for my own standards.

it's just a wired network adapter with 2 ports, that's all. sweat.gif
Check this link if you're interested.

I needed it to test both Dispatch and Switchboard connections at my house. whistling.gif

Your WDR4300 flashed to ROOter ?

How is the consistency ?
Can i use 2# Lan , one from RT N16 and another from 1043ND ( both on Maxis LTE ) to plug into that PCI card to have both connections aggregated via Dispatch ?
*
My WDR4300 is flashed with generic OpenWRT, not using ROOter because not using it for 3G connections. Purely for wireless AP purposes. Not much issue with it except for signal coverage. Have to extend to my whole house using 1043ND via wireless bridging (on generic OpenWRT as well).

Yes, you can do that. I'm already using the on-board NIC and PCI NIC, getting the dual ports NIC to do more stuff. icon_rolleyes.gif

I just noticed that all my 3G/4G modems no longer showing QoS 7168kbps in ROOter firmware on all my Legacy SIMs. It's either 42000kbps or 8640kbps.

What about yours?

same with me since 14th Nov... but on e3276 shows 42000/8640 but when using e398 shows 8640/8640  rclxub.gif in ROOter fw on my mr3420v2 and mr3020
*
ya.. same thing here. Well, I don't fancy those QoS figures. Just want to note about the changes made by Maxis.
Since cruxidex already shown us what's the QoS for E398 and E3276, I'm adding 320U below in case you're interested.

What version of the ROOter FW are you using on each of your Router ?
*
Currently using the latest Huntsman 2013-11-10 Red on all my routers. When the 7Mbps capped kicks in, all modems showed 7168/7618. Now, it's back to normal QoS. Again, just want to highlight the change at Maxis end. The speed at my area isn't as good as most of you (with/without capped speed), no bragging here. tongue.gif

Correction:
Just noticed that I'll get QoS 7168 only when connecting to certain tower. I guess it's just one of the method that Maxis uses to control heavily congested towers. doh.gif

i've configured ROOter routers + 3G modems for my family members. They basically just need to turn on the power to access the internet. I can't see if there's anything more dumb proof than that.

can always turn on public IP to allow remote firmware upgrades or other stuff.

This is interesting , meaning you can basically help them to do the FW upgrades via online like doing it via  teamviewer ?
*
if you want to use teamviewer, public IP is not needed. You just need a PC with teamviewer installed and connected to the same local network as the router.

With public IP, I can login to the ROOter/OpenWRT LuCI interface and update the firmware as you'd do in a local network. This is provided that you know the current public IP used or you can always setup a dynamic DNS service.
