Share was trading at 2.00.
How to you define that?

For me...
If the share is 2.00, whether I sell or not my share is worth 2.00.
So if share drop to 1.70, although I lost 0.30 in those 'unrealised profits', those share is only worth 1.70 now.

Meaning to say unrealised profits and paper losses are REAL.
The value of share of course is debatable but your share is only worth what you can sell in the market NOW.

Profit is only realized when you sell. To me it's not a profit when it's just a paper profit. Yes, the profit is real but it only gets credited to your account after you sell. laugh.gif Problem is, did you sell? Hold? biggrin.gif
People have the tendency to play psychology on this one, yesterday paper profit, today losses. "Should have sold yesterday, wtf am I doing?" and carried on making small profit, breakeven or small losses.

Many think differently about paper losses/gain.

To me, the term 'paper' is misleading.
Like I said, we cam all argue about what a share is valued in the future but a share is only worth what we can sell in the market today.
