Why is the market down by so much this morning?
Believe downgrading by Fitch alone will not cause this panic selling.
Any other reasons?
*
Down grade debt, interest rise, currency drop, FF pull out of market = big drop

Everything begins with a small issue... wink.gif

Me? I generally don't like to buy lows. Sometimes I might but many times I will shy away.
I feel the dangers is greater.
Especially in a bull market where most stocks are trading at their highs, you get a proposition to buy one trading at its lows.
Would you buy?
I won't.
Stocks don't trade at the lows with no apparent reason.
*
Ya kah.. I am a 'low' buyer wor... rolleyes.gif

The one reason that a low should be a buy is due to poor market sentiments, dip in commodity prioces & sell down by major shareholder, but fundamentals intact. laugh.gif

Other reason a low should not be a buy is due to growth slowing, poor earnings, litigation, etc... wink.gif

Your example supermax is a classic story, selldown by EPF and institution due to political connections... but fundamentals is still intact brows.gif

I look at 52 wk and 26 wk low for most of my stock pickings...

A lot of misconception.

One of the old and famous trader, Jesse Livermore (or is it Larry Livingstone  rolleyes.gif ) noted the importance of reading financial reports.

Warren Buffett did read a lot charts when he was a teen. tongue.gif
Is he a hybird trader. laugh.gif
*
Ya kah.. as far as i know i never see WB buy sell using candlestick chart right?

Maybe he read but not practice, just like me read up on TA but not practice. laugh.gif
