i'm having 1 iPhone4 and 1 SE Xperia Ray to use also...
my gf have Sony Xperia SP... i would say SP also a good buy, battery can last... UI also very smooth did not notice slow down since 2 months ago...
with her daily usage, the SP can last from 7am till 6pm easily... if heavy gaming then she might need powerbank to standby after 6pm...

after root... but you can move apps to SD card or their internal memory...
I'm not a fan of big big games that need 1GB space... so no harm for me...
i need it for working, some simple gaming and movies...
