Well depends on personal usage... if u wanna have bigger one then buy Xperia SP, skip S3 and others u mention there...
Bought 1 for my gf not long after the launch, no problem on laggy issue... and the speed and UI smoothness is one of the best for dual core device...
HuaWei chipset is not that fast...
S3 is having a lot of issues, Google for common S3 issue...
Nexus4 also not bad but not worth the money u paying...
Sony Xperia SP is around RM1.1k... so suits ur standard...

Good to hear that..
Since the battery capacity is quite massive, how long does it usually take to fully charge it?

Anyone can estimate how long it would last if I use 3g/data all day + mostly surfing/fb?

Rooted my phone but after factory reset become unrooted.
Using method as shared by Buya_92.
Anyway re-root & using link2sd method, my phone storage increased according to my allocation.
No more worries of storage full  thumbup.gif  rclxm9.gif

So a factory reset is all takes it to unroot then?
What apps do you remove/move to sdcard to save space?

System setting, all setting, storage, select external, restart, done

I use customized setting for power management

Oh that one, guess I still have to move the apps to sd card after installing them

After you installed link2sd, link it to the partition created (ext 2 / ext 4 / fat), then restart.
Open link2sd again, use multi-select in settings, then select all & click action, in action menu, select create link, just press OK.
It will move all selected apps to 2nd partition.
Go to settings & select autolink , just tick on all the options.
That's it, the next time you install any apps, it will automatically store in the 2nd partition.
You will notice that even though many apps are installed, the internal memory still remain as though no new apps are added.

Which file system system do you use for your sd card?

I'm using EXT 2 but if you ask me any different, sorry I don't know
*
Alright, thanks for the clarification
So far so good, battery life is awesome (obviously)
Normal games running ok, 3D games like Asphalt 8 seems to lag
Not that I use it for gaming much, I've got ipad for that
Only problem I encounter with this phone is that I can't stream videos from my pc/nas
Even small sample clips still won't play, it just keeps on loading but nothing happens..

Has anyone here tried flashing MIUI rom?

anyone tried this phone ? how was GPS positioning lock ?
*
Took me a few seconds to get GPS lock, was surprised how fast it was since previous post mentioned it took less than 2 minutes to get GPS lock.

Btw, has anyone bought flipcover case for this phone and does it actually turn on/off the display?

This phone doesn't have hdmi output, and I'm not sure if it supports mhl. Since I already have mhl cable, I'll try it out.

I use MXplayer, have no issue to play video in my NAS or shared folder in my PC.
*
Tried already with MX player and VLC player. But only VLC works, but I can't seek time. If i do that, the playback just stops.
What's the size/format for your videos?
Mine mostly mkv >1gb size.
