QUOTE(DarkNite @ Mar 15 2014, 10:05 AM) How to extract a recorded video in the asstro pvr? I'm going off for a few days and would like to play these recorded programs in my car? The recorded files are encrypted and would only play on your PVR. The only solution is to plug your PVR to an HDMI capture card and record it again into your PC QUOTE(smileguy @ Mar 15 2014, 11:24 AM) Me too still nothing greater then 2mbps ,courtesy of TM Screamyx! During installation of my Maxis Fibre the other day, I was talking with the Unifi guys that were connecting the fibres. Seems that there are certain locations that have been "booked" by Maxis or other ISP. My own place has UNIFI backbone, but UNIFI declined me when I tried to bring the old Unifi from my old home to my new place as the new place is "not allowed by the computer system". There was no such trouble with Maxis. So seeing a Unifi Fibre box is not a certainty that you will get unifi at your place

After much learning on how to bypass HDCP, this is my current setup It's easy to record shows directly to the PC, altho a 1 hour 1080i show (for example this is COSMOS) is around 4++GB Usually I reencode it back to get lower filesize

QUOTE(leetan33 @ Mar 21 2014, 05:25 PM) Teach me how to do it please 1 - Get a HDMI capture card. For me I got the Avermedia C027 DarkCrystal HD Capture Pro 2 - Bypass HDCP from Astro. -- Easy way = get a HDMI splitter that can get rid of HDCP (example: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005HXFAR...?ie=UTF8&psc=1)-- Tricky way = Hacked EXE (can only use this EXE to record) or hacked driver (can use any software to record) 3 - ???? 4 - PROFIT!

Like seriously, I always encounter this also. I thought that new firmware would fix it, but it doesn't apparently. and how do you print screen UI? New firmware maybe? I always thought the UI is like this. I plugged in my Astro to my PC anyways so it's easy to do screenshot

QUOTE(torreto @ Mar 29 2014, 11:43 AM) every damn time brah, every damn time especially F1. anyway #BelieveInMcLaren Ahahaha, I was rooting for Magnussen. Hamilton leaving, Whitmarsh's bad judgement and Perez's appointment made me root for Mercedes last season (and this season as well). Also Astro did the same thing during raceday, ending the PVR recording 10 seconds after Hamilton crosses the line. Thank god for replay today
