I like astro new epg but it's nice to see startup epg as it shows channel logo

THE PICTURE QUALITY OF MOST OF ASTRO CHANNELS IS A DISGRACE ESPECIALLY MEDIA PRIMA CHANNELS. ON A DIFFERENT NOTE, REGARDING ABNXCESS & HYPPTV, ASTRO IS NOT AFRAID TO KEEP ON RAISING THE FEES BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT ABNXCESS IS A BLUFF WHILE IPTV WILL TAKE FOREVER TO REACH THE WHOLE COUNTRY. BESIDES, POPULAR CONTENTS/CHANNELS ALREADY SIGNED EXCLUSIVE DEAL WITH ASTRO.

2. MORE THAN HALF OF ASTRO CHANNELS ARE IN-HOUSE CHANNELS

3. THE NUMBER OF ASTRO SUBSCRIBERS ARE GROWING INTENSIVELY. THIS WILL ALLOW THEM TO COVER THE COSTS

4. ASTRO IS NOT COMMERCIAL FREE. SPORTING EVENTS ARE USUALLY SPONSORED BY TM, MAXIS ETC & COMMERCIAL ADVERTISEMENTS CAN BE SEEN IN ALL CHANNELS.

Despite the fact that in Singapore, World Cup 2014 will be made available on both MioTV & Starhub while Astro has "exclusive rights" to the event in Malaysia, it's a relief that 24 live matches & 11 delayed matches will be made available on RTM. Besides, all ASTRO subscribers can also catch 35 out of 64 matches live on ASTRO ARENA although they do not subscribe to the SPORT PACK. We're luckier than Singaporeans as FTA channels carry only opening,quarter, semi & final matches.

Nevertheless, I'm afraid that RTM World Cup feed on HYPPTV & ABNXCESS will be blacked out again.

TIME has been significantly silent on their astro iptv too

The main problem is maxis fibre is dependent on tm infrastructure while it's content is dependent on astro's content. It can't set up high speed broadband and iptv on its own

Will Astro, HyppTV or ABNxcess bring this channel?

While other service providers in the neighboring countries (Starhub, MioTV, Truevisions, GMM etc) launch more channels, ASTRO does the opposite and the latest one to be axed is Jia Yu channel. World class award winning service at its best.

ASTRO to add 8 HD channels & 12 SD channels this year. I think they can do better than that but adding 20 channels in a year in itself is a record for ASTRO. But one question remains, will we see better picture quality on Astro's SD channels?

Damn, so many channels in ASTRO platform already have HD version and they can only bring 8? I'm afraid that out of 8, there'll be some home-cooked in-house channels too!

Oh! Forgot about that. So 1 HD & 1 SD channel will be dedicated to that home shopping channels I guess.

1. TrueVisions added 34 new HD channels in a year. Here, we are happy enough to be offered 12 SD & 8 HD channels.

2. All 50 TrueVisions HD channels will broadcast with Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 Surround. Here, we still complain about Astro's SD channels' picture & audio quality.
