My ques is, is it wiser to register via the official website or through those flyers (rm50 siap pasang etc)?
How fast can they come, and install.. after confirmation (via website or flyers)?
How much is the current 1st payment needed for 1st time registration?

Called their hotline, some chick with a sexy husky voice, Cik Anna, attended my call and registered my subscription smoothly. Said there will be 2 incoming calls, 1 for validation and 1 from technician/installer, both within 48 hours. Installation within 1 week.

Great find btw, cant wait for my astro this wkend

After 6 days, got a call from the installer today this morning at 11:15am.. said that he will come and install at 4pm. Wtf?

1. On Tues evening, the girl on the astro hotline said and promised (and reconfirmed before ending the call) that the installer will come arnd 9-10am on Monday (today).

2. Already took a half-day EL, waiting for this guy to come, and now only at 11:15am, he calls me up and set my appointment at 4pm?!

3. Call astro hotline (direct line to the girl), her assistant answered, said she 'keluar makan' (at bloody 11am). I asked this fella, who sets the appointment for these installers.. astro or themselves.. and the fella answered it's up to installers. Wtf astro? If u told me earlier these installers set the time, I wouldn't have taken a stupid 1/2 day EL waiting like an idiot. I told the fella to tell the girl to call me immediately, and if by 1pm the installer's not here, consider everything cancel.

4. It's almost 1pm, and none of the astro ppl called. Screw u astro desktop hotline ppl..... My neighbour called up an astro agent thru some ad flyers on wed morning, his astro was installed on friday evening. And he only paid RM50 for installation, whereas i would've to pay RM80 for the same thing.

Damn it, I should've taken the agent instead of via website.. I could've watched the whole 48hours free channels during the wkends..
