based on my conversation wit the cust serv...they called it phantom recording.......i formatted my disk for first time last nite....let see if this happen again....then i may reconsider changing decoder if it does solved the issue

seriously weih, why astro no HBO HD

good day to all.

i got my byond decoder n byond dish recently from a friend and took it home to install.

unfortunately my technician couldnt come to help me change my old astro dish to the new byond dish as he met with an accident

but i kan chiong wan watch US Open and he said juz hook up the byond decoder with the old dish 1st, and he will drop by to change the dish much much later.

so i plug in the dish cable ( white color ) and use the HDMI cable to connect to my TV.

test here test there, it keeps on showing SCNA and voila after 2 hours,  finally got picture ! hehe

i then realise that ONLY HD channels can watch, the rest all show SCNA....

pls help me to rectify my problem

FYI all Pace would launch DMT5 STB with looks exactly the same as Samsung now.Difference is at back panel and startup EPG

Any new issues recently?
- Phanthom Recording?
[ this is not new but recently got spike of cases related to this ]
- Channel 103 will have issues for booking failure
[ this is because tv3 always provided and changes it schedule last minute ]

To Recap
IPTV problems
- Those places with TM infra would experience alot of issues related to intermitent Hang / Freeze issues
- Network port 1 is a service port with no functionality currently
- Must use Network Port 2
- If your internet or unicast is down you would still able to enjoy IPTV up to 6 hours.But dont reboot your STB once reboot everything will go down.
- you can check this via the APPS button of your remote
- 2 different EPG will appear connected to internet or not

Moving forward does anyone experiencing STB hang or auto reboot issues?
