Just raged at their fb & twitter for now showing this week F1 race day in HD. I don't mind la not showing the free practice & qualifying but now they don't even bother to show the race day in HD.

SUN DIRECT IS GOING TO ADD 170 CHANNELS AND 20 HD CHANNELS FROM 6-9 TRANSPONDERS OF MEASAT 3-B. NOT SURE HOW MANY CHANNELS WILL ASTRO ADD BECAUSE MEASAT IS KNOWN FOR LEASING ITS TRANSPONDERS FOR FOREIGN USE INSTEAD OF ITS SISTER COMPANY. THERE ARE CHANNELS WHICH ARE ALREADY IN MEASAT PLATFORM BUT NOWHERE TO BE FOUND IN ASTRO'S LINEUP.

Their is that much, while Astro is double than that (18 to be exact). So it's possible to confirm Astro claim of 102 permanant HD channels (Hopefully without sacrifice the PQ) before 3c launches.

Oh shit, confirm astro will sacrifice NJOI FTA channels just to accomondate those paid 'HD' channels.

what do you mean ?? NJOI is free not need to paid monthly...

I mean astro tend to sacrifice FTA channels video quality.
Since astro can't make money from NJOI FTA channel, surely astro will reduce the quality.

When world cup 2014 started, astro actually reduced every FTA channels bit rate in order to squeeze in 5 or 8 paid world cup shows.

Their main idea is leasing,I bet there will be nothing for malaysians except home cooked channels! As it is the pricing for a complete forced down pack is almost to RM200,do you think we can spend somemore for a fleet of channels repeating contents!Look at our PQ and look at our rates! We deserve much better Our channel line up is worst then Singapore,Thailand and Indonesia but we pay the highest

It seems like there is a major breakdown now as most of the channels on Astro lost their transmission. Comments are flooding into Astro FB.

Few channel cant view, initially I thought my pvr got problem n restart n still the same. WTH.

They've went into hiatus. Our award winning satellite TV provider didn't answer the calls, didn't respond to e-mails, didn't reply to tweets & facebook posts. Monopoly is bad.

After 3 hours of criticism, ASTRO finally posted an apology on their FB expressing their regret on the issue and promising that they will rectify the issue ASAP. Be calm and our next bill will still show the FULL amount, guys.
