I've changed my folder icons using IconTweaker and they all show up fine when I open a fold such as My Documents. I've noticed though that when I was trying to open a file using another program, most recently Photoshop, the icons don't show up as the ones I changed but then again some do. What gives?

yeah, I'm experiencing the same prob... interested to debug it too eventho i dun pay much attention on the icons in the open dialog screen b4.. uhuhuhuh

the explorer icon is a toolbar package..
probably done with either Styler or Y'z Toolbar...

I had and still have the install for it [I think] IP but it didn't seem to have the versatility of IconTweaker in the way that I wanted to change individual icons. Or maybe it didn't let me change as many. I can't remember exactly but it was definately something to that affect that made me search for a new program.

Yeah I use Styler. I believe it may be a package that came already with the program itself.

try rebuilding ur icon cache a few times over after u change ur icons... if it still doesn't work... u might want to use the same type of icons for your other xp accounts as well.... the rebuild ur icon cache... if still can work... just get iconpackager...

I've changed the icons for all users and rebuilt the cache but still no luck. I've come to figure out the only way to change it is to right click properties and do it from there which is extremely time comsuming. Doesn't make sense why sometimes it's changed and sometimes it's not.

Looks like I got it working. Using IconPackager. Now if only I can solve my ObjectDock issue.

i have the same proble but i use icaonpackager. i only have 1 account. i rebuilt icon cache too but still doesn'y fix my problem. i uninstall and reinstall but still the same. now, i'm not using it anymore.

do i have to enable guest account and try to apply the icon for that account to?

how to fix?
