When I first saw the ad I felt so pleased that umi offers a vast amount of quota BUT I paid a visit to the nearest centre and I was informed that it is a 1+2 plan. 1gb for 24hours and another 2gb for 2am till 10am. I am now quite frustrated with it.

QUOTE(eugene88 @ Jul 24 2015, 08:31 AM) AFter 500mb they will cap to 512kpbs I see, so that is how it works. thank you so much. Still new to this postpaid. I feel kinda sad cuz I have been provided with wrong info earlier by the dealer. I might have had registered with umi earlier though. Now gotta pay for 1/3 of one month usage.

QUOTE(Confession @ Jul 24 2015, 09:44 PM) For postpaid we need to deposit rm28 while powerpack we pay none except for the simcard itself. Omitting sms bonus still, powerpack seems worth the money. Losing 500mb for a contractual thingy is quite great as in umobile still charges for the service eventhough you do not use it. Unless you terminate the service. I doubt we will get the depo upon termination? Prepaid is hassle free. 450mins to umobile is more than enough, same goes to 30mins to all telcos. Just my 2cents. CorretCorrect me if i am wrong. :|

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Jul 24 2015, 11:48 PM) Your deposit will be deducted against your last bill when terminating. You're ignoring SMS. 30 mins calls enough? Obviously you're speaking for your own usage pattern only =) If everyone use like you then all these telcos no need to come out so many packages. Well, there are pros and cons, i shall stand corrected then

Hello guys. I would like to ask a few questions regarding powerpack+umi30 plan. If I were to buy umi30,and I still have the free for life 1gb data, which one will be deducted first? Umi 1.5gb or the free 1gb? Thank you in advance.

QUOTE(dgboy @ Sep 24 2015, 10:29 PM) The free 1gb is deducted first. And the date the free 1gb is added each month depends on when you first activate it with a top up of RM10 or more. Thank you for the reply. So basically if I do reload rm30 each month I'll get 1gb free data and 1.5gb from umi30 subscription right? Just in case if I don't utilize the free 1gb and umi 1.5gb data, remaining data will be carried forward?

QUOTE(wcypierre @ Sep 25 2015, 01:47 AM) do you call a lot? if you call within 50 mins, it is better for your to go for U28, more data(500mb more compared to power + UMI30) and cheaper overall (28+6% vs 30/31 + 6%) as shown earlier by forumers in the past few pages. anyway, its just a suggestion, so it is up to you Average calling time around 5minutes per day(umobile to other telcos) . I see, so u28 is better than umi30 in term of calling time and data. Thank you .

QUOTE(idoblu @ Nov 14 2014, 06:33 PM) So Ive been enjoying using UMI28 for couple of years now. My data usage so far is around 1gb per month but I usually finished my quota before the month is up. Anway I feel like porting back to Maxis (which I hate) but I figure I need 2gb nowadays and I like to have LTE and International roaming which U doesn't give me. I hardly make calls. I thought Surfmore50 would be best but not sure how postpaid works if I have to pay any monthly charges. Or just subscribe back to Hotlink 2gb for Rm55 Anybody ported from Maxis and now feels like porting back? As far as i know, maxis and celcom have applied the 500mb policy for unlimited data. Umobile is still 2 gb.
