hey guys.. i am tempted with Umobile HERO RM70, with 7GB data & unlimited plan...BUT only one major concern. How was the coverage? Some said, they are using Maxis/Celcom... how true is it?

Currently i am using Celcom with 5GB data plan.. Have been using Maxis, DIGI.. Maxis & Celcom is the only TRUE provider with widest coverage no matter where u go in Malaysia.. DIGI.. NO WAY.... hate the poor in door no signal coverage..

Hope Umobile usres to provide feedback..

As usual, just test with a prepaid. Their 'using' Maxis currently is 2G only, and 3G in places where they not currently serve.

Do your research.

Is there a difference between new u prepaid plan and power prepaid? Or is it the same?

New is the previous plan, with 2x validity, 30mins free on-net calls per day

Power is the latest plan, with 1x validity, free data, 15mins free on-net calls per day

Basic call and sms rates also different

Didnt use umobile for a while, i want understand the free 1gb thing

I previously topup 30 bucks and using umi25 now
The 1gb internet thing already activated when i topup?
So I got 1gb + 1gb? I am confused

Are you on Power plan? If yes, then you got everything, and it will be used in this order, provided your line active:

Free fast 1GB

UMI 25 1GB

Free slow 2GB

Oh I am still on new u prepaid plan
If i switch to power plan, then topup 30 bucks
Then I can have free 1gb for every month? That means the 30 bucks is still there right?

But i topup @ Q0010 . My validity does not add up

Top up RM 5 & 10

Top up will add from the day you top up. Example if you have 10 days or more validity, topping up RM5 or RM10 won't change your expiry date.

I dont get it , Old prepaid plan stacks up validity period .

so when should i top up ? habis validity only top up ?

The previous plan got 2x validity but no stacking.

Anyway, yes... don't top up until you have to.

I have trouble topping up today, bought 10 ringgit from petrol station, and try another 5 ringgit from Maybank2u, both resulted in Session Timed Out or Service Rejected

Anyone else experience this?

Update: Manage to top up the RM 10, RM 5 still cannot

because they are using COUPON to top up which umobile not provided, direct reload/ top up/ bill payment system then available for any amount start from 5

I have tried to access *118 # today after havent topping up for a month. Today, I reloaded rm5 and tried to access 118, but it said my service is rejected...why? Btw, I can make calls with it.
