can explain more..... i not in telco not so understand this .... is that umobile trying to kill those inactive sim so can be release back to market ?
*
It should be more or less like that. If those who only uses the sim to receive call(aka rarely reload) let their sim expire, then it'll make way to new 'potential customers' that could use it in a more aggressive manner(aka will use more = will reload more = more money)

at least got more numbers for new users to choose, good reason too, since lots foreigners choosing umobile for prepaid broadband and reload 50-100 but just use for 1 or 2 months but the sim active for 6months to 1 year, sure lots numbers hanging
*
agreed. But some ppl like me still needs long validity for some reasons though sad.gif

RM10. http://www.u.com.my/new_prepaidplan

From what I've saw here, I think that it is dependent on how long you've reloaded for I guess(since I didn't saw any terms regarding the validity of the free internet): http://www.u.com.my/faqs/52/135?page=2

I just saw lowyat tweet that umobile postpaid changed from current U58 (200 min call + 100 min to u) and U88 (200min/200SMS to all, 100min/100sms to U) to a new RM50 plan (100 min call to all) and RM80 plan (100 min call to all, 100 sms to all).

Not sure if previous U58/U88 maintain.

not sure if it is his doing, but umobile's marketing is pretty good, and its adoption should be at a very good rate as well

LOL! Thanks!  thumbup.gif

If we could put all this important and current information on the first page, then it would be easier as we would not need to browse through every page to find an answer. Just my suggestion.

Anyway, you are right, the previous balance was added later.  nod.gif

Aih. Wonder when will they support. Maxis LTE is fast!
Experience it on my sis phone.
*
most likely, no. Unless U Mobile is granted with the 1800mhz spectrum, or Maxis/Celcom is willing to share their infra with U Mobile

Well that's a real blow.
Hopefully they come up with something soon.
*
If U Mobile were to hop on onto Maxis or Celcom's 4g network then probably you could see something soon. Otherwise, don't even think about it as requesting for the band takes a lot of time and building the infra will take a lot of time as well(Digi took a year+ to implement it)

I see.
I'm not really knowledgeable regarding networking but I believe something should be in the works to support the iPhone's LTE capabilities as the number of users here in Malaysia is pretty vast.
*
Not to express superiority or anything, just wanted to state that you won't see 4g lte for U Mobile anytime soon if you're not using their 2600mhz band.

btw, read this: http://www.lowyat.net/2013/12/we-have-no-a...phone-and-ipad/

Now prepaid got new plan/tariff which also affected the existing user.
Tot only for new prepaid subscriber. I like the old plan with rm10 top up , validity up to 30 days.
*
its for all unfortunately. what do you use you plan for? long validity + minimal calls and/or sms?

then xox would be a nice choice for your use case. Otherwise, providers like tron would be pretty nice(long validity for minimal price)

this is indeed very sad and very unfair to existing customer sad.gif
