I read the product at u.com.my but couldn't really find anything about the 30mins calls is it to all operators or just U

Then at the last of the FAQ I found this -

"Which free voice minutes are getting charged first: The 30 mins on-net free calls coming with every top-up or the free all-net calls coming with the new UMI bundles?"

The free all-net voice minutes coming with the new UMI bundles get charged first, no matter if you are calling on-net or off-net.

U mobile not very clear on this in their description

There's two, one is 30 min to all networks monthly, another one is 30min/day to umobile only. So if you want to have the most saving, call people from other operator first, utilizing all of your 30min to all networks, then only call those from umobile so it will use the 30min/day.

Oh... that's bad for me. 95% of my calls are people from maxis and Celcom. I think better stick to old U50 plan.

there's no difference from before as it is the same case as well in the old plan. The new plan offers more data which is more worth it to be honest. If you need more call time, you can apply for Voice Plus(RM 8 for 80minutes to other operators)

Although this is not that related since my question would be on wireless broadband, still I would like to get the infos from the umobile users here.

How is the line? Stable? I am planning to potong maxis and enter the non contract line with umobile. U88 I think. The new mifi modem is better compared to the older one. And they told me that it's unlocked. Any idea On how good this is? on both the modem and line?

better u test it properly before you purchase if you doubt that umobile is not strong enough @ your area

simply purchase a RM 8 sim @ 7-11 then use it few days

the mifi is UNLOCKED, correct, i think ur u88 means MB88 which is 7+14gb package
currently mifi got 2 model = huawei e5220/5330 or zte mf65 come with the package
u may pm me for further discount on getting this

Mostly I am using in towns. I am staying in PJ so should be no issues. And I am always traveling around few major towns so should be no problem right. The modem that was shown to me was not the long one. They showed me the newer one slightly fatter. And yeah they showed me the mb88 with no contract now.

Just wondering through, my place is approx 14 level up. Will it be affected?

Like what CnYgarage said, go and get a sim card and test it out first. We don't want to see you in rage mode later on when you found that it is not good at your area without trying it out first sweat.gif

Haha. Issue is that I don't have a spare device to use it on. Thus, I can't actually get a new sim to test it out.

simply buy a normal sim pack, put into your phone and use 5 min around your house @ morning, noon, and night

make a speed test and run some youtube, promised you are satisfied with this first smile.gif

Testing it out. Speed not bad. Surfing quite smooth up till now (My area). I realise that the modem that they are giving out is huawei E5330 as well. I tried my sim card on my friend's modem and it's unlocked.

the new plan got more data, if your data usage is within your old plan's quota 90% of the time and you do use at least 50 min offnet, then the old plan would be better. If your data usage is more but call less then the new plan is better(paying a bit more for the additional calls is still worth it in my opinion because data is more expensive than sms/calls).

if you are not enjoy the extra 1gb by paying extra RM 5

(100min off net and 50min off net difference is 50min which new P50 only charge RM5 for it.)

then u may stick to the old U50, not necessary to switch to new P50 for unnecessary extra 1gb data for you cool2.gif
but still may enjoy bill discount by paying your bill and top up with me brows.gif

Want to ask something about prepaid international roaming (for calls and SMS not data). The FAQ said international roaming not available to prepaid but the then the rate page says NEW. I called their customer service on yesterday and today. Yesterday one said got prepaid international roaming but today one said prepaid international roaming does not exist. haiz...

https://www.u.com.my/faqs/15/36
"...currently international roaming service for prepaid subscriber is not available yet.."

https://www.u.com.my/postpaid_internationalRoaming
this one says "prepaid international roaming -NEW"
