Crystalline 70 front, HP50 back, security 50 side.
RM1350, not the best price but not bad, compared to KL price.

If you are looking for V-Kool, there is a tint shop opposite Honda Showroom/service centre along Jalan Sungei Pinang.

All my cars V-kool tinting films done by them. Price not the cheapest, but installation skill is first rate.

Usually tint shop will try to convince you to have a 5 inch darker strip at the top of the windscreen. They said it will block more UV and IR rays. In actual fact, it is more expensive and very tedious and difficult for them to instal one whole piece of tinting material. They need to use the full width tinting film to install full windscreen this way. It is really difficult if the windscreen has a more pronounce curvature.

If I remember correctly my last installation 1.5 years ago cost me RM2,500 for a complete tint using V-Kool Model 4, have to replace the old one V-Kool Elite (12 years already, start loosing effectiveness to block IR)

For your information, NONE of the tinting films I have installed has developed any bubble or wrinkle or becoming wavelike which I have seen on too many cars. Its very dangerous if these imperfections started to form on the front windscreen. Your vision will be distorted, especially during heavy rain. The problem will be magnified if you don't have a good working wiper blades.

YES, definitely agree. It is ULTRACOOL, look for Lee or tauke soh.

I did my Vkool there, few cars..not the cheapest but workmanship is top notch. Have tried out Vkool Elite and Vkool 40 from them..

I did my Huper Optilk at Breyton also, but after 1 week+ I still notice small bubbles on the side windows (S60s & C40s).

What's worse is after they tint, because the car was still quite dirty, didn't realize there is a scratch at the "inside" of the tint (between the window and the tint, where they stick/glue(?) the tint to the window). Also there was a large line of dust/delamination(not sure which) trapped at the bottom, more than 1 inch. Now after 1 week+ still seeing the line a few mm thick.

Initially I only did it there even though it was quite expensive because I've heard over and over again that their workmanship is top notch, so a bit disappointed and thought that I would share the experience with the community.

I am now deliberating whether or not to show the tauke immediately or wait for another week, since when I made payment they said all the bubbles etc will go away after 1+week under the sun. Though that scratch is a headache...

Just bought Nissan Almera. Finally I got my new car, goodbye to my old Wira. I decided to buy new car now because I heard car price will go up in the end of this year...not sure if you guys out there knows about it.

Now, my next step supposed is to get my car tinted when ... (I will share my experience here)

That day when I got my car, Nissan Salesman recommended me to go to Optimate as I asked him to recommend me a good tint shop. Well, I never heard of such brand, guess is another house brand. So I told him that I would like to tint my car with genuine U.S product but he told me all the tinted film are the same as long as it provide good heat rejection, no matter is from U.S or not U.S. (I feel he does not have much knowledge on tinted film, go online to Low Yatt Forum lar...can learn many things one)

The Salesman was quite patient and being nice to me, he said he will “escort” me to Optimate telling me just give it a try to know the product there. So, since I got some time I followed. When I reached Optimate, I was showned a few products by a gentleman. As I am still doubtful, I asked a few questions to compare on their product versus Llumar, HuperOptik, V-Kool, Raytech & 3M, Worldtech...

That gentleman showed me a device called IRR Metre, saying that this device can test on the tinted film reading. He tested on a few product from Vkool, Llumar, Raytech and to my surprise...all the mentioned product reading shown that the performance of Infrared Rejection is poor. He told me that out there those V-Kool, Llumar, Raytech, Huper Optik and 3M is lousy product, he said they fake the specification only his product is good. The funny part is he never test on his own product. I just don't trust this device. He kept mentioning the branded product is expensive and lousy compared to his. He add on mentioning that his product is warranted for minimum of 10 years and some even Life time...can you believe that? Life time? Sure or not?

Even the U.S product couldn't give such long warranty...it gave me another doubt.

I told the saleman, I will think about it. He then gave me a few more options like Top-Gard and Cool-World. I don't know why this salesman never suggest me V-Kool, Llumar, or those genuine
U. S film. May be he knows US film is expensive and thought I could not afford.

I went on surveying and did dropped by to check on Cool-World and Top-Gard. Well, the price from them is also not cheap...some even almost same price as the US brand. I decided I put my tinted on hold...I am still surveying at Georgetown area. My friends some did their tint at Llumar and some asking me to go Raytech and some said Vkool is good...I will continue my survey first before I make my final decision...gosh...
