Cut a piece of cardboard to size. Wrap in plastic. Tape to the top of the fridge. This is the hinge. Gravity keeps it more or less closed. You just lift it up to open.

If you don't have cardboard and plastic at home, go to Popular book shop, and buy their corrugated plastic board. No need to wrap since it is already plastic. Costs about RM5-10 for a sheet approximately A0 size (16 pieces of A4 photostat paper).
