QUOTE(General_Nic @ Jul 21 2013, 06:37 PM) all Ikea cabinets are to be assembled by yourself, unless you asked for assembling service which they will charge you Erm..I just use to display my toys inside only..like minion..should be fine right?it is advisable to have 2 person to assemble Detolf, as the glass is very heavy and can break if not handled properly an advice, Detolf is only a cheap option, it is not advisable to display heavy items because it's not very stable a more expensive custom cabinet or display cabinets found in furniture shops are more worth in the long run QUOTE(sphiroth @ Jul 21 2013, 10:04 PM) For gunpla, nothing beats ikea detolf in term of cost. I got 2 unit, brought to johor just because I could not find any other suitable display cabinet with affordable price, It can fit in car (mine waja) but its heavy, around 40Kg. Its possible to lift and assembled it yourself (did that twice) but it will be a lot easier if done with friend. Putting them side by side also not bad at all. Lol, plan to use Myvi cause it's my friend to help me carry back since I'm outstation..and i just put the toys like McDonald Minion Although I like custom made cabinet, the cost and less flexibility (cannot move it around) kept me back. Btw TS, mind asking, what collectible you planning to put in the cabinet? QUOTE(cempedaklife @ Jul 21 2013, 10:10 PM) agreed with other that all ikea stuff need to be assembled urself. and it's not for heavy stuff. I see, yeah..it's cool cabinet, well I will try ask my friend to carry for me with his myvi lol. my fren bought it before and he took it home using his old wira, with the passenger seat moved flat to accommodate the length of the cabinet. |

QUOTE(sphiroth @ Jul 21 2013, 10:30 PM) Assuming its mc d minions, I think its better to just use daiso display case and stack them. Or if you got a lot of minions, maybe can consider acrylic case for displaying hotwheels car. It can be hung on the wall, so really save space. Err..I'm going to collect more toys, that why trying to get the cabinet lo..not only minion haha~ |

QUOTE(sphiroth @ Jul 22 2013, 05:55 AM) Ikea Forgot its name already... Okay thanks, I'm going to ask shop for make custom case see how much they offer lol.. Here you go... https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=2208853&hl= He often set up stall at amcorp. maybe can go and see. Between acrylic and glass, I prefer acrylic because its light but for big structure/case, glass is cheaper. Most advert signage shop does offer service for making acrylic case, but they cannot do design which required small/precision cutting. You can also ask shop that sold trophy, some do make custom case also. |
