kweng wat i can comment based on the setup i got last time is extractor is huge diameter and one of them not same length. o2 sensor also right on the top.
my setup was 2 bullet no mid box, 2 inch piping all the way and straight flow muffler
would think that it suits manual better since really like no backpressure feel
but since im driving auto, not so good.. reason being:
- gear don like to upshift
- "really" loud.. till can get headache when driving though idling is sort of quiet..

i would recommend for the best bang for buck, dont need to change exhaust at all.. just take out your stock extractor and korek out all the "honeycomb" in the cat or chop of the cat and put a pipe to join a.k.a. de-cat .. will reduce backpressure just like an aftermarket extractor would without having to buy one

need help here guys..
my neo cps auto has a weird sound at rpm near to 5k.
not sure if anyone encountered it before?

went 2 to workshops to troubleshoot so far but they cant pinpoint it
i suspect:
1) VIM valve, cps tappet jammed or spring rosak or something - workshop cannot confirm it
2) timing belt slipped one notch - workshop said not possible. but when open the timing belt cover and rev can see the timing belt vibrate like gitar string but not hitting anything so probably not timing belt
3) engine oil issue? but just change 2K km ago - luqui moli 10w40

Workshop 1 suspect
Engine mounting - since no power loss just weird sound and vibration but 2nd workshop check and say no prob with the mounting

workshop 2 suspect
1) timing belt - checked and confirmed nothing wrong though noted the belt vibrating
2) crank pulley bolt loose - checked and confirmed not it
3) air cond compressor loose, knocking against something - also confirmed not it
4) possible engine internal issue

end up they say have to leave car there to check but have to wait till after CNY as got so many cars now and they also on holiday for CNY

appreciate if anyone has some pointers on how to solve this.
right now the car is still drivable without the weird grinding sound as long as i keep it below 4k rpm but i dont think i want to leave it till the sound is there at all rpm or till something breaks

Yup, i got it from half cut too
*
just wondering.. are you using some sort of lightened crank pulley
a friend told me that it could be due to the crankshaft being slightly misaligned coz of the pulley
i.e. pulley off balanced n goyang the whole crankshaft thus breaking the plate

im using the works lcp which has no damper of any sort

anybody done VIM repaired at any campro workshop?  rolleyes.gif

repair to solved the "tak tak tak" sound at intake manifold.
*
your tak tak tak sound is when?
i.e. idle, WOT, half throttle, lift off or ?
i too initially thought the sound for mine was from the intake manifold but sound is very tricky as it echos everywhere... turns out it is the drive plate that was broken
