extending wall socket?

i want to add another wall socket in my room. already got 1 socket in the room and i want to add another one beside it what i want to know is whether can i just connect another wire from the old socket to my new socket?

why not, most double socket in the wall also come from 1 set of wire..

LOL. materials alone will cost half of that liao. they'll charge you rm 80 if they are kind.

XD
