i wouldn't mind us signing a relatively unknown player as long as he can perform the job well. but obviously big names please the fans and lift (some) of the player's morale. however, i can't see us getting any established CM's in this window, heck we can't even get them in the past. the good youngsters have been picked up while others are still on contract or reluctant to move. it's beneficial for the likes of lingard and powell though, but i believe its something more of a gamble if we play these kids. we might win the title again similar to last year, but then the rest of the team esp. carrick, RVP and defense needs to up their game, as the BPL is getting tougher. i am also predicting a make or break season for kagawa as well as ando/clev. this season should decide their united future. btw iago aspas and jesus navas seems to be excellent purchases so far in preseason... early contenders for buy of the season if they maintain their preseason form. maybe we should dip our toes in the spanish market for once ?
