Yes, it is ALWAYS recommended to use an original charger bundled with the phone to charge it. For my HTC One previously, I only charge it with the bundled charger for battery safety and longevity. Third party chargers are not recommended and everything might be okay by chance only. You never know when it's your day for your phone to go kaput. I remember back in the days where I tried using a third party charger to charge my BlackBerry Torch 9800 - every time the phone was charging, the touchscreen would act all weird registering touches when you are not touching it... don't tell me this is normal? lol
