I'm still waiting for maxis to restock to join the family.

Just got a black Htc one (32gb) from maxis. Exploring the phone now

what are the things I need to check? the build seems good.

I think the black still has the 'gap' issue. While looking at the red doesn't have that problem.

To check for purple tint camera just place the phone unto a black surface?

PS: Yeap, have the red tint =.=

Is the gap really noticeable like more than 5mm gap or ? Coz I googled and they say that the gap was not covered for speaker panel there?

I wished I've look around this topic first before buying, guess I couldn't regret it now as I already have the phone.

I only have one dissatisfaction, the camera. But I'll live with it.
As for gaps, couldn't really see. Perhaps mine is black.

The red tint, yea. Tried it with a total black surface flat. It has a lot of red noise. I go back to the store I buy or brightstar?


PS : Funny thing is, it doesn't happen all the time. Just afraid when I'm at the center trying to claim for warranty it does not have the red tint. LOL. I'll be screwed all over.

Just used a black cloth just now and also placed the camera sticking near my arm. Total pitch black at first, later the red noise comes all over. lol

And happens sometimes, pening. Well, a tip to resolve the issue. Try setting the ISO to 400 or less. It will somehow go away.

Rayan92 well the heat is quite bothersome, for me. I 3g for like 10 minutes surfing it gets quite hot even with a case.

nzh0920 actually the gap is not that visible in black than silver/white. Mine has imperfections at the bottom speaker panel. lol

Rayan92 To be reeeeeally honest, I can't see gaps on my phone. So, not much visual defect. Plus mine is a black one, can't really see unless u look straight in it.

But best to check first la, if can test the camera also. Got red/purple/blue tint, don't buy. Ask for another unit.

Rayan92 Erm, the issues consumers posted worldwide would be : gaps, camera, colour bleed (not entirely sure what it is), rough edges etc.

As for camera defect, just launch camera and face the camera unto your hand. Make sure your hand covers the entire camera. The screen should be pitch black rather than having Red colour noise. In some cases it was blue/purple. Another thing was taking pictures in low light conditions, the sides would be purple/blue. (None that I experience before)

Rayan92 Yea, if u want more defects. Google for more. haha. Hope yours will be a perfect unit!

I think I should try in low light conditions, so far all on bright light conditions which are all awesome.

Battery life considered great for light-medium user like me
