Yeap, I find note 2 quite fast..but probably it's android system that's slowing it down..sometimes need to restart phone  when turn on too long else some games will lag dry.gif
*
With full respect to note 2 owners, few of my colleagues who own note 2 did a side by side comparison
between note 2 and htc one and find the latter to be faster.

I do think that previous sense for desire HD which is sense 3 if i'm not mistaken lags a bit. But you won't notice
it in sense 5. I used sense 3 before so I know what you're talking about.

Sense 5 is really fast. In fact too fast for my liking sweat.gif

I'm actually using a flip case right now, but I'm afraid that it doesn't offer much shock resistance when drop.

For now I'm searching for cases that don't add too much bulk but still offer protection. Leaning towards Incipio
*
I remember someone said before about a hybrid flip case with a hard shell for the back cover.
If you want protection better go for UAG or Otterbox. Going to add a bit of bulk though.
Got users here who use Incipio as well.

Haven't added you to the owners list right?
What color and version you have?

I love wat i see when i touch the htc one..*in fact i jz went all the way to the nearest mall just to play with the phone* brows.gif

I must say, HTC has improve A LOT! but what i don like was..they claim its "rugged" but when i touch it..it feels so fragile T_T but nevertheless, i really love that phone!

Biggest question, TO buy or not To buy?
*
I myself prefer the phone naked without casing. But feel insecure.
That's why use casing. But sometimes from time to time I will remove the casing just to feel the phone.

Do you plan direct purchase or with Telco?
Telco stocks are hard to come by.

Anyone here using maxis? Do we need to change sim card for LTE called customer service just now and she said no need. The icon will cchange to 4G/LTE on the right place isnt it?
*
Try to use in LTE area first. If can't use LTE then have to go changed a new SIM card. maxis charged RM25 for it. Although you no need to pay if you call them first before exchanging.

forgotten ald. sweat.gif Is the capacity is as promised in the model? how much is the capacity that u got? U ship it urself?  thumbup.gif

after so much of my own research,

my preferred brands

Anker (top rated in Amazon, 4.5 stars)
Limeade (kickstarter brand, amazon 5 stars thumbup.gif )
Mipow (best in terms of design... Power cube 8000  drool.gif )
Sanyo Eneloop (very reliable) (too bad small capacity)
Yoobao (saw the 15k ones... looks fugly to me... very bulky n not nice in terms of finishing, maybe i've been particular on design after using HTC One  doh.gif ) (too many fakes)
*
Seems so. Later I post pictures of the box. I got the 13000 Astro E4. Charge twice but the indicator only shows one LED missing. So one LED indicator around 3250mA. Got 4 LED indicator. It seems the capacity is as advertised.

I'll use forwarder service in garage sales.

Charge from 20%-100%? High efficency rate! Yoobao only around 70+% efficency rate... Usually good ones around 80+% efficency.
*
I charge from 0% both times. So you know now how efficient it is.

it depends on the seller. some seller don't ship to Malaysia.
That's why I have to use forwarder.

Latest news from Shirogawa, I'm assuming he's refering to the first 7 people on the list. I'll keep you guys updated.

By the way, anybody interested in getting an Anker Astro 3E Powerbank?
*
I think you guys should go for Astro E4. Newer compared to 3E. Bit expensive compared to 3E though tongue.gif

warm HTC one temperature, normal for aluminum body?
*
Are you in air cond environment?
It's normal since Aluminium dissipates heat.
Although if you are worried, just install apps that can monitor the temperature.
More likely it's nothing.

how to check ?
*
Install app called gsam battery monitor first.
Then monitor it once you finished charging to 100%.
It will monitor your usage better and give a clearer picture about your battery consumption as well.

Hey guys, I'm seriously considering getting this phone. I wanted to ask:

1. It seems a few batches of this phone had some quality control and design issues. For example, the screen glass was not parallel to the edges of the body, etc. Have these issues been done away with now? Should I look for an HTC One manufactured after a certain date to avoid any such problems?

2. How is the Wifi range on this phone? How does it compare to Sumsang's S3, S4, or Note 2? I had an Xperia SP, and its Wifi range sucked so I returned it; I don't want that to be an issue with this phone. =\
*
Seems like now hardly hear anyone complain about those issues that you mentioned. For Wifi, don't really think if anyone can really tell how is the range. But never heard any complaints about that before. It should be good enough.
