I received my Brownie last weekend.
Stock tyre pressure was 150 kPA ... I recommend you to check ur tyre pressure ... I think the recommended is 220kPA

I noticed that when the steering wheel is turned 100% to the left or right , and the car is moving , there is a little grinding noise and the steering wheel vibrate. Is this normal ?

My SA only said that I get 2 year free labour service . It is done at 1k km , 5k km and 10k km.
But I still need to pay for the parts (Ex :engine oil , filter , etc)

Brown lala's at autofest only get free labour service

because plotong never say anything about the service during autofest ma ....
If u go to plotong's website , u will see that they never mention anything about warranty for its cars oso .. 3 yrs / 5 yrs

go to other car company website , u can see 3/5 year warranty for their cars

got ask ....

SA said 5 years warranty and free labour service ....

then i went to another plotong sales center one week later to ask , the SA said lala for autofest , can get 2 years free parts and labour + 3 years warranty from date of manufacture. Only preve has 5 years warranty

at then time ... so blur ....

after collecting car , then everything is in the manuals

so ... if everything is in the manual , how come plotong cannot update their website with the 3 years warranty ?

Right now , my engine ECU is still using the stock configuration.
I noticed that when I am below 40km/h and I lift my right foot up, the "engine braking" is rather excessive.
Then i need to press the accelerator to increase my speed which leads to additional fuel consumption.


When I am 80km/h , and lift my right foot, the car can "coast" ...


Is it possible to coast at low speed ??? does the remap solve this issue ?

after reading the news for the past few days ... i think it can fit a shotgun ??

Based on User manual , page 80 & 81 (English), the running-in recommendation is max 130km/h

I am having the same problem too !
I think either the antenna is poor quality or the audio unit is not sensitive enough
The sound becomes louder or softer depending on signal quality
User manual states that the auto-volume function is to reduce the static noise

How much variation am I getting ?
When I get good reception and I drive under a big shaded tree, the signal quality drops (because the radio volume is reduced)

Torque is in Nm . Not in kg ...
i was hoping that Supr1ma should have at least 500Nm of torque

anyway , 1 kg = approx 9.8N

Torque is represented using Nm. If you hang 10N on a 1m bar , at the end of the bar , u get 10Nm

35kg = approx 350N is correct (only newton , no newton meter)

I just got back my lala from Juru Proton edar SC and I want to share my experience

Made appointment last week for today .... so I went there 1/2 awake at 8am in the morning to check-in my car

Service advisor was very helpful . Explained all the changes . Then she asked me whether I want to add "compressor oil" into the air-cond compressor ....

So I asked her why ? She said that the oil level in the air cond compressor will drop since the car is new. By adding a little bit of "compressor oil" , it will top up the level by a little bit. Then, this will also extend the working life of the air-cond as well

since i was 1/2 awake ... i said OK

In the quotation that she showed me , I saw Syntium 800 10W-40 (4L) and syntium 800 15W-50(1L) . So I asked her why .... she said that 1L 10W-40 no more stock ... so replace with 1L 15W-50 .... she says that it can be used ... as long as it belongs to the same Syntium 800 family

Later , I went to collect the car and pay the bill.

I asked her about the "compressor oil" ... she said "add a bit ... around 1 inch of a tube only " ... but bill was RM48 !

What !!! Rm48 for one inch of oil ?????????????????????????

So I asked more technical questions .... she said that Juru center has an air-cond specialist who recommend this product. Other places don't have this service

So I asked her for the bottle/packaging/datasheet etc ... she told me to go behind and ask the specialist ... Then the specialist showed me a tube which says E-Boost DYE for air-cond ==> Makes leaks easy to detect !

in other words , i paid rm 48 for one inch of DYE !!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to complaint that a dye does not improve the performance of the compressor and does not extend its lifespan as well . I made alot of noise as I did not agree in paying such amount of a colored dye

Finally after 15min of checking , calling ppl up , emails etc , I had the marketing brochure

Anyway once i saw the marketing brochure , I paid the total bill
Then I noticed that they put 10W-40 (1 L) in the bill instead of 15W-50 which she told me in the morning.
Apparently there was new stock

In between , I checked online and they say that if we mix Engine oils of different viscosity , we will get something in between the two different viscosity. Not sure if it was good or bad


Anyway I must puji Proton a bit after all the hentam above

1) I saw them cover the driver seat and steering wheel during the servicing with a kind of plastic cover . Good initiative as to avoid the technicians in coveralls accidently putting some grease on the car seats
2) The service advisor called me up 1 hour later to tell me that she has an expert engineer in aircond/E-Boost usage. So I told her to send me the datasheets or technical files to me email address for me to go through them
